Abstract
The case study shows the risks associated with project management within the
Department of Defense (DoD). The main issues regarding risk within the DoD come from
personal safety, resource availability, and political constraints. Furthermore, the risk to forces in
non-combat related injuries shows a need to increase safety within risk management assessment
further to ensure the success of military campings and projects.

Introduction
With life, as in business, risk management is imperative to the success of any project.
Risk in the when viewed in the military is no different; there will always be risk to the project
and risk to teammates completing to project. The continual analysis of projet managers can guide
a project to its success or failure based on the planning at the front end of the project planning.
Using this process of risk management within the military is no different; there are acceptable
losses of equipment, arms, and munitions, and unfortunately, human life to ensure a successful
