Risk Management Plan for The Pressure Washing House Project
The purpose of this risk management plan is to identify, assess, and analyze the risks associated with the
project of pressure washing my house. The project will be described below, and the risk scope and objectives will
be identified. The risk management methodology will be discussed, along with the tools used for risk assessment.
A risk communication plan will be developed as part of this plan.
Project Description
The project of pressure washing my house involves preparing the area around the outside of my house for
access to all of the exterior surfaces to the maximum extent practical. Items that have been carelessly left will be
put away, and furniture on the deck will be moved away from the house. The north side of the house receives the
least amount of sun and therefore has some mold and mildew accumulation that will be addressed during this
cleaning endeavor. To support the thorough removal of such a chemical agent approved for use with pressure
washers will be used and a scrub brush where necessary as this project is overdue.
The pressure washer being used is a gas-powered 3000 psi (pounds per square inch), Briggs and Stratton,
with PowerFlow technology. The power flow technology, along with the included 7-in-1 nozzle head, allows for
easy switching between various high-pressure nozzles and high flow nozzles that both are capable of higher flow
and lower pressure, as well as the ability to draw detergents from the attached detergent tank when desired.
The exterior walls of the house, the soffits, and the exterior of the gutters and downspouts will be washed
using the pressure washer. The detergent will be used on areas that have noticeable mold or mildew. The scrub
brush will be used when the mold and mildew are not removed by pressure washing with detergent alone.
The time allotted for this project is one working week (5 days), allowing for one day per side of the house
