Reflection/Planning Paper
Organization and Planning- I have been very organized this semester and
implemented a system for making sure I complete all of my assignments on time. My
system was that I created a calendar for a whole month with all of the assignments and
due dates on my calendar. The calendar helped a lot because I checked it everyday to
make sure I was doing my assignments and turning them in on time.
Attendance and Punctuality- I have been attending class regularly and being on
time. Some of the issues that I have had include: sickness, not having enough sleep, and
trying to catch the bus on time. I plan to change that by getting my assignments done a
little bit earlier than I have been doing them for the past two months. I am planning on
sleeping earlier than usual because I usually sleep around midnight, so that is why it’s so
hard for me to wake up in the mornings to get ready for classes.
Time Management- I have tried to manage my time well and balance
academically, physically, and spiritually. Time management is one of the hardest
struggles for students because we tend to waste our time on unimportant things, such as,
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, etc.… The area that I am struggling the most is
spiritually because I get lazy sometimes and I just don’t read the bible as much as I am
supposed to be reading it, yet the Bible is our only good source of help when we are
going through difficult times because there’s always a word of encouragement in there for

us. I plan to manage my time more next semester by keeping my focus on God’s words
and school work instead of social media.
Preparation- I have been prepared adequately for class, but not as prepared for
tests because I always study the last minute, which is not good. I should be studying more
for some of the classes that are in my major because I need to get at least a C to pass
them. I can study more next semester to help with this issue, and I can also manage my
time, which is why I am not too prepared for the classes.
Academic Policies- From the Tips of the day that were presented in class this
semester, I found the one that talks about how the students must earn certain grades to
maintain a good academic standing. I didn’t know that the students had to maintain a
grade in order for you to be in good academic standing. I also learned that there is a
warning or probation if the students don’t meet the required GPA.
Habitude 1: Image 1- I liked this habitude because it talks about where ones
energy comes from. Is their energy is from the past or the future? Well, most people
would say that they think it comes from the past because they been through so much and
that gives them strength to carry on. I learned that my energy comes from the future
because I am striving for better things to happen in my life. A positive change that I can
make in this area is to never dwell in the past and to always look forward to the future
because the future brings better outcomes.
Habitude 2: Image 4- I liked this habitude because it talks about how most
students deal with their past baggage. Most students deal with their past baggage because
they never discard them because it’s hard to let go of them. After taking this class, I feel
like it’s necessary for students to get rid of their past baggages even though it can be hard,

but we have to learn how to do so. Most of our baggage fees have to deal with
relationships because we just can’t let go of them. Some of the positive changes that I can
make toward this to be successful in life is to let go of these baggages that are holding me
back from the past. I’m going to let go of them by praying God because I cannot do it on
my own. Prayers are the best solution to anything that can seem impossible.
Habitude 3- Image 9- I learned a lot from image nine that deals with our
contentments and dissatisfactions with life. Sometimes we tend to be too demanding with
our lives; we always want more of everything and we seem to never be content with
anything and that can become a problem. I know that most people struggle with that, and
I struggle with that as well. One positive change that we can make about this is to learn to
be happy with what we have because some people don’t even have half of what we have.
As Christians our goal is to be happy with what we have and give God thanks and glory
for what He has given us, so He will bless us with more. When we are not happy with
what we have, it makes us look ungrateful to God because we are not appreciating Him
for what He has given us.
Habitude 4- Image 12- I really liked this habitude because it showed me how to
become a better person when making choices about life. This habitude talks about how
students can choose to go First Mile or Second Mile. The first mile is when students are
doing the minimum of everything, and Second Mile is when they are doing the
maximum, which is the most that they can do about anything. Most of us like to take
shortcuts in life because we tend to think that slow is bad, hard is bad, boring is bad, risk
is bad, and labor is bad. Sometimes we have to get pass these limits in order for us to
reach our goals. We can overcome these issues by trying harder, and stop limiting

ourselves to what we can do and to actually go out and do more than we think we can do
that way we will be successful in life and have a great future.
Destination or Big Picture Goal- My destination for my life is to become a
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I also want to have a family that I can love for and care for. I
will enjoy my journey by getting through school, while I meet new people. I will have to
work hard because college is very difficult and being a nursing student is going to be a
tough, but I know I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. I will reach
my Destination by keeping my focus on God, not on materialism, not on fame, not on
anything else that will not benefit me on any type of way. If I put God in control of
everything, then all my dreams will come true because God gives us hope from the Bible
that He will be there for us through it all.
