the future of Christian coaching and helps explore its role in your future.
Basic Principles of Life Coaching: The 7 “T’s”
I. Trends
The #1 trend this year is—Business Coaching!
~Entrepreneur Magazine
Digital Camera—use to tape coaching segments to upload to your personal
channel on www.YouTube.com
Most of the healthcare information accessed by the human population is via
the internet
People go to the internet to ‘find’ vs. ‘search’
II. Technology
The #1 form of technology is—the Internet!
Most people will find you as a Life Coach through the internet
The fastest growing website on the internet (at the time of this recording) is
Facebook™
The largest population of Facebook™ users are women between the ages of
45-60
Social Networking Websites:
www.plaxo.com
www.LinkedIn.com
Coaching is about potential, your future and results.

III. Telephone
To about 40% of Life Coaches, their cell phone is their primary tool
Email
Text messaging
Sending video clips
(what challenges are you facing, what’s happened since we last talked?)
Everything is going mobile
Keeping in touch and reaching out is key—helping to keep clients accountable to
their goals
Key: Give to others—be a servant leader!
People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
Always be sure to “practice” with your new technology—use family members
and friends before going “live” with a coaching client
Check out classes at the local public library on technology training
Having a website is also important:
Steps to set up a Blog—
1. Go to www.google.com
2. Type the word “Blogs”
3. Use WordPress™ or Blogger™ site
4. Set up a profile
5. Upload your picture
6. Begin entering content (“Top 10” lists, articles, etc.)
IV. Tools
As a successful Life Coach, you must keep adding tools to your coaching
toolbox
People’s needs are greater than ever—you have to be able to help them get
results
People are 10x more likely to tell others about a negative experience than a
positive one—we want you to be the positive experience
Read Magazines
Subscribe to online eZines
Learn from other coaches
Read books
Provide relevant resources to clients
Book: Words that work: It’s not what you say, it’s what people hear –Frank Luntz

V. Techniques
Use the “tools” (i.e. referred resources) and then come back with the
“technique” of asking great questions for follow-up
Pre-Interview Questionnaire
Phone Consultations
VI. Training Process
Training is a process
If you are not in training you will be left behind
Life—Long—Learning
Have your own personal coach, mentor, accountability
Always grow and stay ahead of where your client is going
Continue to strive to be your best—(i.e. The Cross—2:1 ratio)
Coaching helps to change people’s legacies!
Coaches shatter the past and open their client up to the future!
VII. Trust
Can I trust you? = Credibility
Can I count on you? = Perseverance
Do you care about me? = Love
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need
to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
~2 Timothy 2:15
Spend time in God’s Word—get wisdom
Trust is everything!
