NEW TESTAMENT

The New Testament has a number of themes which unite all the books. These
play an integral role as they shed light on the Almighty and encourage human beings to
practice Godly leadership irrespective the context of an individual’s vocation or location.
The three key themes that have been highlighted here include the fact that man can
become God’s child, focusing on the common good instead of thinking of self-interest
and having love for all.
Man can become God’s child –
The books shed light between the interconnection between God and man. God
has always taken special care of human beings and helped them to deal with their issues
and miseries. So human beings have the opportunity to be called his children in the true
sense by following his footsteps. Human beings can get closer to God at a higher level
by showing immense faith and trust in him. It is one of the integral elements that have
the power to strengthen any relationship. Thus, leaders can practice Godly leadership
behavior by learning from God or his human form i.e. Jesus Christ. Within a short span
of time, Jesus showed mankind, how selfless God is when it comes to taking care of his
children. Thus, in similar manner leaders need to focus on the relationship that they
have with the followers and do things that will benefit them in the best way possible.
Focusing on the common good and not on self-interest –
Even though the New Testament is a complex set of books, a common theme
that is evident is that God manifested himself into a mortal form and was known as
Jesus. Jesus came into the world and gave humanity the chance to spend life with him
and understand him in a better manner (SparkNotes: Bible: The New Testament:
Themes, 2019). Throughout his existence on Earth, he acted in a selfless manner and
did things that were good and beneficial for one and all. When Jesus came into being
he did not differentiate between anyone. In fact, he promised salvation for one and all

including the social outcasts such as the poor and needy people, orphaned individuals,
widowed persons, and diseased human beings (SparkNotes: Bible: The New Testament:
Themes, 2019). Thus leaders, in a similar manner while performing leadership activities
need to take into consideration the fundamental needs of all the individuals so that they
can create value for one and all.
Having a love for all –
All the books of the New Testament highlight the importance of love and
compassion. It basically shows that love wins in all kinds of situations. God loves all of
his creations without thinking of himself. He puts his beings on the forefront so that
their interests can be served in the best way possible (Major Themes of the New
Testament, 2019).
In fact, out of his sincere and genuine love for the beings that he has created, he
offers the ultimate redemption in Christ. Similarly, leaders while serving others must
have love in their minds for everyone so that they can do things that will be beneficial
for them. God, out of love for all His creation has helped humanity a great deal since
its very existence. In fact, God’s immense love, affection, and compassion towards
human beings has helped them to sustain (Major Themes of the New Testament, 2019).
Thus, the core themes relating to the New Testament that have been captured
here can play a vital role as these themes can act as guidelines and enable human
beings to follow godly leadership practices. By following the teachings from the books,
men can survive and sustain in a selfless manner by focusing on the welfare and well-
being of others. The teachings will basically enable them to broaden the outlook and do
goof for every creation of God.
