I. Research Question & Statement.
The research question is how does cross-cultural competence affect Business Diplomacy.
Over the years, there has been a plethora of research on culture. The typical studies relating
to culture have been discipline-specific for numerous years. However, not until the
Nineteenth century has there started to be an interest in studying cultural effects on multiple
disciplines. The above-stated research question attempts to answer a future problem that will
arise in the nations. You may ask what the problem is? The problem is globalization which is
the outlook on future relationships between countries and the interplay between the two.
Globalization is the vehicle that is driving connections between nations. With each
established relationship comes complexities directly or indirectly instituted in the
marketplace. From the perspective of this study, the marketplace clashes with western
ideology against the broad east ideology. The battleground that these two individuals play on
is in the field of business. Many multinational corporations (MNC's) cross overseas to
expand their corporation's empire through territory penetration and acquisition. This paper
will examine factors that each multinational corporation will face and the barriers of entry
that each Multinational corporation will face. Many global companies face challenges, not
just financial but political, cultural, relational, geographical, psychological, law,
governmental, etc. Factors from multiple disciplines, in theory, are the reason that these
companies caused either success or failure in the marketplace
. Of these areas studied, there has been a lack of connection or a common thread that has
influenced each discipline simultaneously. Moreover, the challenges the Multinational
companies faced have created studies to analyzing the errors or reasons that each company
has encountered (Shliakhovchuk (2021).The reoccuring of the themes has created key
2
compentencies that persepctive leaders will need to become proficient in multiple
areas.Furthermore, there has not been an employment position that is sufficent to match the
job demands each organization. In this study we will study a proposed a job position that can
satisfy the growing deamand of the economy. Henceforth this research performs a
combination of qualtative and quantative approach. The study is using qualtative methods of
survey, textual analysis, Hermeniutics to define, explain, and intergrate the research data. The
Quantative is through experientes, statistical data, and mathmatic modeling to show the
correlation between cross-cultural compentence and Business Diplomacy.
II. II.Justify Reasons for Interdisciplinary Research
. Diplomacy requires thinking in multiple dimensions: conceptual (logic), imagination,
and systematic resolutions. Moreoever the complexities of Diplomacy change from the local,
regional, and National levels. In other words each level requires a difference in approach
between the diplomat and the residing country. The above questions however is referring to
business diplomacy, which lets us know there is a combination of two fields. Business is slightly
different then diplomacy. Business usually contains an econmoic component which means there
is input of output goal that is usually achieved. Moreover, diplomats work in multiple fields such
as policy, law, business, and economic negotiations. The amount of fields justfies an
interdisciplinary approach.
Moreover, there is a complexity in cross- culture compentence. Culture is describing a
single culture. Competence is the understanding, embodying of a culture. Analyzing the effects
of culture in diplomatic, strategic thinking will first require creating a common point of
definitions that will fit into the scope of each discipline that can create common ground between
the multiple disciples. Moreover, culture is embedded in international relations due to each
3
nation containing different cultures. With the complexities of cross culture this requires an
interdisciplinary approach. Due to multiple systems of paradims of thinking competeing for
supremacy.
III. III.Identify your relevant disciplines
By analyzing up questions, there are at least six disciplines about the question. The five
disciplines are History, International relations, Business, Psychology, Diplomacy and
Anthropology The above questions are composed in theory, three components that will help
understand the job, roles, and attributes needed to create practical solutions in the ever-
changing world. The three components are culture, business, and diplomacy. According to
Geert Hofstede, "culture is defined "as the training or refining of the mind; the unwritten
rules of the social game, or more formally, the collective programming of the mind that
distinguishes the member of a group or category of people from another- this meaning
correlates to the term culture in anthropology.” Anthropology views culturres and the
worldview (Repo 2016). Since Culture determines the software of programming. Culture is
the system that each organization will have to embrace to achieve their goals. Psychology
deals with the cognitive framework of the mind. To understand business, anthropology,
diplomacy will require a psychologic discipline to create tangible knowledge for
understanding the multiple components. . History has shown to have repeatable patterns of
events that have been repetitive. Therefore history has been used to analyze past events of the
world to generate precendence, or in other words generate premises to navigate future
challenges of the humanity. The importance of this discipline is that its used as the reference
point to gather all the information come up with the future strategic plans for prosperity
pertaining to the abovely stated research question.

IV. Discuss adequacy related to your two Areas of Study
The two areas of study is Executive Leadership and International Relations. Adequacy is the
process of attaining a complete understanding of a complex problem. This will require at a
minimum an intermediate level of knowledge of each discipline's theory, methods, assumptions,
perceptions, biases, and epistemologies (Repo 2016). This level of understanding in said
disciplines will be an acceptable solution to the research hypothesis. Below I will expain each
disciplines adequacy.
International Relations is the study and practice of political relationships among nations,
especially their governments. Throughout the graduate's course, there are many concepts learned
throughout history that the creation of laws went through multiple steps. Most laws started as
common law. These rules were followed because of tradition. The rules were then codified,
which means written into law language to be established as law. Law is usually written to benefit
the nation that is enforcing the law ( Finwick 2017)
Moreover, depending on the nation, specific laws systems have been shaped influenced
by religious texts. Example of observation is Political Islam. Sharia, which is religious law for
Muslims, is based upon the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. This law encompasses every
area of life for the Muslim faith. The methods of education for international relations were the
structure and formation of law. This is from common law to basic, penal, Parliamentary,
Presidential, geopolitical, law, and systems that govern our countries today. This example
correlates to the research question due to the diplomatic strategy must consider all the above-
stated factors to ensure the solution will be effective and longstanding.

Executive Leadership: Executive Leadership is the ability of those who manage or direct
employees in an organization to influence and guide these individuals. Those leading executive
leadership processes typically oversee business activities to fulfill organizational goals, strategic
planning development, and overall decision making. For our Graduate course, the main emphasis
was on entrepreneurship in Leadership. We covered Porter's five forces to business. We also
study the lives of leaders such as Martin Luther, Billy Sunday, and John Carey. These leaders
exhibited characteristics of resiliency, faith, patience, long-suffering, and love. Leadership comes
in different forms. The primary model of Leadership learned is the Shepherd model of
Leadership and how this model can create transformational change throughout an entire
organization. We also covered the process of creative design theory, which helps businesses
design their viable product to place in the market. Regarding my study, to provide a solution in
the marketplace, one must understand the culture, demographics, trends, etc., to serve it
correctly. Diplomats deal with individuals in high leadership positions, and it will tactfulness and
understanding of their cultural program to create a win-win solution.
Executive leadership goal is to create organizational change that produces profit.
International relations focus on relationships between governments. The challenge that
always being faced in this group is resolving conflicts while trying to assert for power.

V. Provide insight from your research.
Culture is one of the core elements that creates the infrastructure of a person's
worldview. This system created has its own defense system which is different
perspective. Different perspective leads to rejection. In business it is necessary to
understand the system in place to become productive in business. (Walker 2018)
A. Supporting insight from your research
Insight from research suggests that cultural competence affects bilateral trade. Moreover,
policy has been affected by the lack of a global understanding of culture and diplomatic
skills (Cottone. 2019).
B. 2nd supporting insight from your research
C. Projects managers who were employed overseas struggled to produce the outcomes the
business projected due to differences in approach.
.VI. Discuss any conflicts between insights or theories.
Cultural affinity conflicts with a couple of theories in my second major, which is
international relations. In law, some specific theories or criteria are needed to be to create
law. The origin of law stems from common law, which can also be known as natural law.
The law is a mixture of Godly law and traditions that eventually are codified into actual
law.
VII. Discuss common ground discovered in your research. Culture intelligence is necessary in all
areas of study especially in the social sciences. Due to the fact all relationships are
incommensurable in theory (repo p.282), (Remi M 2019)
VIII. Provide conclusions drawn from your research
7
Culture affects all areas that require interaction with people. The reality is that future generations
will be deeply affected by globalization which forces culture interplay to happen. Lack of Cross-
cultural competence can result in major failures to happen across the nations (Firat 2019)
IX. Suggest ideas for future research related to your topic.
Furthermore, research on business diplomacy can be effective for creating a solid job description.
Moreover, further research should be on culture effects on policy creation for business.
X. Discuss how you might approach your research topic from a biblical viewpoint.
I would approach this research article from the bible of Hosea 4:6. I would also approach from
the Old Testament with Moses and the Mosaic laws. God gave Moses the law to follow but he
also considered the people in its creation. ( Nur 2019)
