Topic and Research Question
Topic: The role of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) in the life of an autistic student.
Hypothesis: The impact of an ABA therapist on a child with Autism has great results in a school
and home setting.
Research Question: When an ABA therapist puts in place a plan for an autistic student to follow
what is the beneficial reaction?
Disciplines Incorporated:
Physically
Psychologically
Emotionally
Justification: The role of an ABA Therapist is to evaluate the needs of a student with autism not
only in the school setting but for at home as well. A therapist must know the physical, emotional,
and psychological needs of a student before said plan is put into place. Many children that have
an ABA therapist do well because they have that strict plan in action. There are many that believe
that ABA therapy is not work as well as other influences such as medication, but medication is
only a key part. ABA therapy works in three different parts in order to assess the well being of
said child.
