Methodology
This study will use three research methods which include surveys, personal interviews,
and literature research. A literature search involves searching through previously sourced
materials to get information. Online materials, journals, company literature, magazines, and
written materials are examples of materials that are readily accessible with information. This is
one of the most cost-effective ways to perform research. Online data is a quick analysis method
that falls under knowledge research (Schermer & Hindriks, 2020). It is extremely quick to obtain
information. The community focus approach collects data from a small group of people known
as the survey. The information gathered may be dependent on the sample selection process.
Random sampling is the most popular approach for sample selection since it ensures that all
characters have an equal chance of being chosen. Internet and email surveys are relatively new,
and there is little information about the effects of sampling prejudice on internet surveys
(Thrusfield & Brown, 2017). Although it is clear that conducting an internet survey is the most
efficient and time-saving method of conducting research, the demographic profile of the internet
handler does not reflect the general population, but this is changing.
Personal interviews are a method for gathering comprehensive and accurate information.
They have one individual interviewing another one for details about a person or a group of
people. Because of the one-on-one aspect of personal interviews, they are costly. As an
interviewer, I usually ask questions from a scripted questionnaire and write down the answers
word for word. A survey is often just a list of questions that the study needs to discuss with a
business expert (Thrusfield & Brown, 2017). Because of their high cost, personal interviews are
typically used only when participants are unable to respond to other survey methods. When
performing social media marketing research, it's important to have a clear idea of who your

target audience is. Since the mode of advertisement would be framed in such a way to fit it, the
target audience must be clearly defined. The most basic knowledge for a specific method of
marketing can be obtained by performing a thorough analysis. It's important to remember that the
target audience for marketing management is determined by the time and method of marketing
used (Gray et al., 2020). The geographical reach of social media marketing is extensive. The
most important avenues where one can reach a large number of people from various ethnic
groups are social media platforms.
Rationale
Although some businesses view social media as merely a means of disseminating product
information, research suggests that direct marketers are vying for a piece of the demand
development pie. This study's main objective is to determine the value of social media
marketing, how small businesses can be part of this marketing team, and the ethical values that
are to be considered (Gray et al., 2020). According to the survey, there is a space hunt going on
in businesses for social media control, with 26% of respondents saying several teams share social
media. Personal selling, on the other hand, takes the top spot with 35% of respondents. Direct
marketing, on the other hand, takes the top spot with 36% of responders. As a point of
comparison, 10% of participants believe public relations is in control of social media. The fact
that social media is a viable and powerful direct medium is undeniable.
Furthermore, combining the two networks allows advertisers to obtain a greater number
of consumer views, which is important for delivering efficient and appropriate communications.
Direct mail is unsolicited mail that promotes a company's goods and services. Direct mail can be
classified into a number of different categories (Kim & Lim, 2019). Postcards, envelope mailers,
and catalogs, for example. In most cases, direct mail campaigns are sent to all distribution

customers in a zone or to all customers on a marketing list. However, a successful campaign
requires planning and the use of accurate and well-researched customer data to fit customer
profiles to product profiles.
