The health care system is vast and the topic may impact any element (such as cost,
workforce, technology, et.) of the health care system. You may focus your stance on 1-2
elements that are impacted.
A healthcare system consists of the stakeholders and the resources used in the delivery of
care to the patients. It is a method through which the financial resources are disseminated to ensure
healthcare services are delivered as planned. Technology is impacted since it helps in the delivery
of some of the healthcare services. For instance, the use of Electronic Health Records has enhanced
access to the medical histories of different patients. Different healthcare providers are in a position
to access patient medical information at the same time but in different locations. It contributes to
the making of the best decisions when a physician is treating a patient, (Banova, 2019, para.3).
They are informed of all conditions the patient have had in the past, and therefore they prescribe a
drug that will not hurt them. It demonstrates that technology has improved the delivery of services
to patients and has eliminated the burden where a patient’s file had to be searched manually by the
healthcare provider. Sometimes, the patient could forget to inform the physician about a particular
issue which would influence the decision to be made on his or her treatment. It, therefore, results
in the occurrence of an error.
Financing of healthcare has been made easier through the use of technology. The finance
department makes an analysis using MS Excel or any other software. It provides a report on the
financial status of the firm. Technology is also implemented when the patients are paying for
certain services. The payment is processed, and they are given a receipt. It is an effective strategy
where patients are served fast. We have robot-assisted surgeries where a surgeon would sit in a
room and control a robot as it operates on a patient. It can be used in performing heart surgery. It
has led to minimized errors that would be made during the operation, and there are fewer

complications, (“Mayo Clinic Staff,” 2020, para.4). Many patients have benefited from the use of
technology in the delivery of services in the healthcare sector.
The workforce is the people who are involved in the healthcare system. The workforce is
an essential aspect of the healthcare system since they help in achieving the goal, which is
providing quality care to the patients. The workforce is healthcare providers. They attend to the
patients by analyzing their situation and coming up with a medical solution. In the workforce, we
have the physicians, nurses, clinicians and other skilled healthcare providers and professions on
different clinical issues. They are an essential component of the healthcare system since the health
status of their patients depends on how they treat and serve them. The healthcare providers use the
necessary tools and available data in trying to come up with an ultimate solution in treating a
specific condition. They are individuals who need to be respected and recognized, considering that
they take care and demonstrate compassion to their patients. They encourage the patients so that
they do not give up. They play a crucial role in a patient’s life.
The workforce in the healthcare centre is significant in the delivery of treatment services.
It indicates that the recruitment process and the hiring process should be well planned to ensure
that only qualified individuals are employed. The recruitment team should not select the applicants
depending on race, gender, or religion. They should have the requirements well stated and ensure
that they are followed. It will ensure that a healthcare facility contains qualified healthcare
providers who have the necessary skills and knowledge required in disseminating healthcare
services. Providing quality care saves a lot of lives, and the firm gets a good reputation.
