Journal Analysis: Exercise and Activity
The link between energy intake and energy expenditure can be summed up as
follows: energy balance. Overindulgence in energy leads to the development of excess
body fat, which is referred to as a positive energy imbalance. The accumulation of body
fat leads to metabolic disturbances and overfeeding of cells, which in turn triggers a
series of physiological reactions in the body that escalate the risk of cancer, diabetes, and
heart disease.
A balanced energy intake and expenditure is a prerequisite for maintaining a
healthy body composition, lowering$the risk of numerous chronic illnesses. Even though
there are other ways to prevent and treat chronic illnesses besides energy balance, it still
has a significant and profound biological impact on our health and well-being.
I tracked my activity level for three days, and during that time, I was highly
active. I succeeded in eating less and working out more. Despite some poor eating
choices, I was still able to have a net loss overall for the three days. I worked out for 270
minutes over the course of three days, burning 2, 359 calories. My average net loss was
419 calories per day. When your energy balance is maintained, you are burning the same
amount of calories as you are taking in. Your weight will therefore remain constant. My
goal is to maintain my current weight of 200 pounds. I feel great and I look good at this
weight.
You can feel more energized, maintain or reach a healthy weight, and lower your
risk of developing various health issues by being physically active and making smart
dietary choices. It's critical to choose nutrient-dense foods and to get at least 150 minutes
of exercise each week.

Over the course of the three days that I tracked; a few good habits helped me
succeed. I was able to keep track of everything I placed in my mouth and determine how
much and what I was consuming. Instead of consuming high-calorie drinks, I drank more
water. My appetite was suppressed by drinking more water, so I avoided snacking all day.
Even though I went out to eat frequently, I made sure to order the small combo rather
than the medium and to forgo the soda in favor of bottled water or a sugar-free beverage.
I always ate breakfast, so when I got to work, I wasn't hungry. Instead of candy bars and
potato chips, I choose to have fruit and nuts as a healthy snack.
I did my fitness activities for the three days by either walking or running. In three
days, I managed to get in 270 minutes of exercise. I was able to burn more calories than I
took in as a result, which led to weight loss as opposed to gain. Despite my desire not
to$exercise, I maintained discipline and got$at least sixty minutes of exercise each of the
three days.
Taking care of your diet and physical activity is a way to honor God with your
body. Every day, I exercised in order to honor God through my physical activities. I
forced myself to work out even when I did not feel like it. Some of the things I ate made
me feel like I let God down. I knew some, but not all, of the foods were unhealthy for me
since they were high in fat, calories, and sodium, yet I still ate them. By bringing a
nutritious lunch and some healthy snacks, I could have eaten in a way that better honored
God. In the future, I want to honor God through my nutrition and exercise.
I recognize that in order to maintain my weight, I must be consistent and keep
within my daily calorie allowance, as well as exercise. I intend to continue tracking each
day so that I may be held accountable for everything I eat. I will engage in some form of

physical activity five days per week for at least thirty minutes. I am aware that there may
be difficulties; however, I must discipline myself to do the right thing so that I can honor
God daily.
