(the vena cavae)?
The heart is located below the diaphragm
Beginning in the right atrium of the heart, explain the major anatomical structures that a
drop of blood passes through before ending up in the aorta.E Make sure to include valves,
vessels, and heart chambers in your answer.
A drop of blood after entering the right atrium dows through the tricuspid valve and goes into the right
ventricle. The blood is then pushed from the right ventricle/chamber through the pulmonic valve and
into the pulmonary artery through as a result of the heart beating.
From the pulmonary artery the blood in carried to the lungs to pick up oxygen and leaves the lungs
back into the heart passing through the pulmonary vein.
It then goes to the left atrium and dows into the left ventricle through the mitral valve. From the left
ventricle next the blood goes into the aorta through the aortic valve
