Research Methods Critique, Godly and Ungodly
"Research Methods can be godly"
"Research methods can be godly" Scripture supports the use of godly research
techniques. "I will guide you and educate you on the proper path to follow; I'll offer advice and
keep an eye on you. Do not behave like a horse or mule, who are mindless animals that require a
bit and bridle to manage them" (Psalm 32:8-9). God is amazed when His people gain knowledge
and understanding. We may obtain information through research to help us choose and make
decisions more wisely. The more knowledge we have, the better informed our selections will be.
The reason research is so crucial is because it generates the information that serves as the
foundation for our understanding of the world. God's plan guarantees every study is objective
and of sufficient quality, so that we can base our conclusions on the facts discovered. God also
uses technology and research to save lives, in addition to enhancing circumstances across the
world.
"Research Methods can be ungodly"
We are instructed in Romans 12:2 not to conform to the pattern of this world, but to be
transformed by the renewing of our minds. You will then evaluate and accept God's will, which
is his good, pleasant, and ideal will ". Since we are not expected to follow the norms of the
society we live in, research techniques might be wicked, as the verse said before. Scripture also
supports the idea that research techniques might be ungodly: "Also, that the soul be without
understanding, it is not good; and he who haseth with his feet sinneth”. God tells us in His Word
that disobedience has repercussions (Proverbs 19:2). “Beloved, let us love one another, for love
is from God, and whoever loves has been born from God and knows God”. (1 John 4:7)
