Introduction
Location, region, human impact/interaction with the environment, place, and
movement are the five main themes of geography. Among these characteristics of
geography is location, or where it is located in the world. Depending on the
climate, the land, the population, and the history of the region, a region is
described by its characteristics. The place describes what it is like there. People
and goods move around the area from place to place using movement. Lastly,
human environmental impact/interaction refers to how humans interact with nature
and how they have an impact on the environment because of coming into land and
vanpower.
General Overview
Our world is growing so rapidly that our housing development is struggling to keep
up with all the new life being brought into it. With hurricanes Ian and Haitian
earthquakes destroying housing and killing 2,248 people, we have been ravaged by
natural disasters. Helping with damage control and rebuilding houses of those who
can't afford to rebuild in the area will help me deal with the aftermath of hurricane
Ian. With thousands of volunteers, Samaritan's purse is a fantastic disaster relief
organization. With Jesus' outreach and housing development, we can assist further
with the outreach.
Region Relevance
Based on the area's climate, land, population, and history, the region describes the
area's characteristics. There were multiple areas of the west coast of Florida that
were affected by Sarasota, Venice, Port Charlotte, and many more. The aid I would
provide would help rebuild housing complexes and develop new housing
complexes for those who are less fortunate in the area. It will bring people together
