Resurrection Paper GBST 163 New
Testament
Write a 5 page paper on the proofs of the Resurrection of Christ.
Thank you for your patience and understand as I have been also having a lot
of medical issues that are all documented as the “Fake” virus is causing
delays on medical procedures I had set that would certainly help my motion,
memory, focus and awaking hours. Writing a five page paper on the proofs of
the Resurrection of Christ is a tall order and it largely depends on the spacing
where I always space out and get the maximum I can on each page to save
paper and be able to see more on a page. I will write this with that in mind
and ask for your compassion and understanding.
I believe Jesus is the Son of God, the true Messiah and Savior of all of
mankind, he is God in Human form and was crucified on the cross because of
Man’s Greed and power. He died and was resurrected for all of us to rein in
the New Testament and forgive us of our sins from the beginning. There is no
other name above Jesus as His name is so powerful and above all and lives in
us today!
However, God gives Man an inch and he takes a mile as the saying goes.
Man commits even more sin that ever power as Man continues to listen the
lies of Satan and thus man willingly gives him more and more power because
man thinks he will get something from the deceptions he spreads. I for one
rebuke Satan and his lies daily and pray that more and more people, not just
followers would do the same.
Sadly, there were so many doubters and skeptics of Jesus of which many of
them objected to Jesus’s ministry and even today we have just as many if
not more spreading the hatred. Proving the death and resurrection of Christ
can get very complex, in many cases take a very long time to explain the
prove aside from the written word of God.
Many have stated that Jesus was just a man and contrary to these doubters
Jesus was exactly who is said he was and even tried to downplay who he
really was in His short three plus year ministry. Only Jesus was able to
perform miracles like he did, such as healing the sick, casting out demons
and the biggest one for me is how he raised his friend Lazarus from the dead
days after he died. Also taught that man is capable of doing almost anything
as long as we believe and have faith in Christ. There are a lot of predictions
throughout the Old Testament that state a savior would come among us and
would be killed and raised from the dead.
Some even say that the people who witnessed the resurrected Christ are not
reliable and could not be trusted and I find that they were all woman at first.
Back then they did not have any credibility and why would they say that he
rose again as it seemed to not be important back in those days as many
people claimed to be as Jesus died in the cross for the sins of the world to be
forgiven so we can everlasting life. So everything so far about Jesus is true to
fact based over time.
But many today say that Jesus was not only just a man filled with magic
powers but all that is written and said about Him in the Bible is all “Fake” and
thus made up. Because nobody would willingly die for a deception or a lie.
The Apostles ran and hide from sight when Jesus was Crucified and then rose
on the third day as they feared for their lives. To begin with they had doubts,
even Peter had doubts when Jesus walked on water and said to Peter “Come”
and as soon as Peter walked on the water as long as he kept his eyes
focused on Jesus he did well, but when he had doubt and looked down, he fell
into the water and Jesus reached into the water and said the famous saying
“You of little faith, why did you doubt” Bu they doubted until the time that
they saw the resurrected Christ and were able to see and touch him, it was
then that their lives were changed and no longer had any doubts and
basically the evidence proved to them that Jesus was the Son of God.
In history there are so many written documents that refute the evidence of
Christ and many of those come from the early type church leaders as they
objected to the fact that Jesus was the Messiah and the risen God.
Then comes the fifty days after Jesus rose from the grave was Pentecost
where the Apostle Peter had preached to a crowd as stated in the book of
Acts 2:22-32 were everyone in attendance knew of Jesus was given the
powers of God to do miracles and signs of his ability and powers to show
man he was who he said he was and his power over death, forgiveness and
eternal live. In Acts, everyone was aware of Peter was referring to the
Purposes of Jesus Christ to all of earth. Even King David spoke of the
resurrected Christ more than 1000 years before his birth. The book of Isaiah
talks about the Messiah and the risen God who would walk among us on
earth. Nobody around King David would have thought or could have
imagined that the Messiah would raise from the grave! It is clear that the
Lord our God wanted everyone then to know of the coming Messiah.
During the Crucifixion, I think that the disciples and Apostles were all
cowards and afraid because they did not believe and were afraid of what
man could do to them, so they left Jesus all alone and even Simon Peter
denied Jesus in Luke 22:31-34. But prior to that Simon Peter had witnessed
the transfiguration of Jesus where His true Identity was revealed of his
divinity was known in Mark 9:2-8 (ESV). But even further back when Jesus
said He had to die in Matt 16:23 and Apostle Peter refused to accept it and
Jesus had to sit him down and give him a stern talking to so as to understand
Prophecy and His purpose for Man.
Then the risen Christ had given exacting instructions to the Apostle Peter in
John 21:15-19 on what he is to do, his purpose and mission to spread and
share the great news of the Gospels of Jesus Christ and bring up disciples
and make witnesses of all nations. This carries onward even today for us to
be fishers of men Matt 4:19 (ESV).
Sadly, the Jews refused to acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Messiah
because he did not fit their narrative of what they perceived as being of a
Godly status and could not even have imagined he would raise from the
dead. Some even want to say that Jesus never died on the cross, that he had
went into shock and woke again after resting. If this was the case, Jesus
would have survived extensive blood loss and even the sword in his side
could not be enduring by any human. This is why Jesus was not human, he
was God in the flesh and lived with man to show his Love, Grace and Mercy!
One thing I always remember that the risen Christ is my Lord and Savior and
have faith a trust in him to provide “God will forgive us of our sins and
strengthen out faith and Love for him and others” All it takes is for us to
believe he rose from the grave and for us to make a choice to allow this to
occur.
I do not really know what more to write about without re-drilling the same
topics. I really like to get to the heart of topics without beating around the
bush. I somewhat went by memory but you get the right idea I hope of what I
am saying and hope that I said it well enough to understand and. Any further
questions or discussions feel free to contact me.
