We, as humans, must protect the planet that we live on. It has become our responsibility
to ensure we do everything we can to maintain the environment. If we do not take it seriously,
we will see a deuteriation of the natural world around us. Humans must be held accountable for
this measure because we are the only intelligent beings capable of doing so.
Protecting our environment does not seem like the idea everyone would have or agree on.
However, our environment needs our protection to maintain this planet, but most of the
population will not make sacrifices. When it comes to economic growth vs. preservation of the
earth began in the early stages of humanity. Humans have always wanted to build society over
protecting the environment; when it came to a choice, humans decided that slowing down
economic growth would leave them without financial resources. Before humans, the earth had no
plants on it because there was no one to cultivate it and help it to grow. In the bible, God says
that it’s our job to maintain the earth he gave us.
From a scientific standpoint, humans have hurt the environment just as much as they
have helped it. The earth has a very delicate ecosystem that must be maintained, and as humans,
if we do not do this, then we will be doing nothing but destroying the ecosystem. Destroying the
ecosystem is very dangerous not only for the humans that live here but also for all the animals
and plants on this planet. We have seen the extinction of many animals and plants in just the past
one hundred years, thanks to the carelessness of the humans in that area.
If the environment we live in were to fail, we would start to see the failing of humanity.
Without the ecosystem being maintained, the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the clothes that
we wear would all start to disappear. Pollution on this planet has been a number one
environmental killer. Humans waste and do not recycle enough, and the trash we produce ends
