As Christian educators, we are very fortunate to be in a position to reach others in
a capacity that fulfills a greater and eternal purpose. So it should come as no surprise that
we should take our voice and influence very seriously. This means that Christian
educators not only possess the proper aptitude, but it is also our duty to serve those
around us without discrimination or reproach.
The bible states that, “as each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as
good stewards of God's varied grace”(English Standard Version Bible, 2001, 1 Peter.
4:10). Through this type of service and learning, we are able to reach masses of people
and impact them in a way that may not be available otherwise. When our resolve
becomes weakened by the constant life demands and daily tribulations, we may begin to
find ourselves questioning our work, but fortunately we are able to find strength and
guidance in something greater than ourselves. The strength of the Lord and his wisdom
empowers us in a capacity that no man can replicate.
Through this renewed resolve, the implementation of alternative schooling, lottery
selections, charter schools, and even private schools have helped provide additional
guidance to those in need. What was once education through the spread of the gospel, has
now manifested into so many different avenues of communication. This correspondence
must continue to grow as society continues advancing into the new age. The use of
technology in modern day society has allowed us real time and instantaneous
communication with just about any and everybody in the world now. We must adapt our
education in tune with the advances of modern civilization and it is our responsibility to
reach all demographics throughout the world. As the bible states, “there are doubtless
many different languages in the world, and none is without meaning (English Standard
Version Bible, 2001, 1 Corinthians. 14:10).” Every voice and soul has a purpose and as
Christian educators, we must help our fellow man find and fulfill theirs.
