Article Summary
Organizations have battled with integrating technology into their normal organizational
operations, especially amidst the evolution of artificial intelligence technology. The article
“Accounting and Auditing with blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence: A
Literature Review" illustrates the organizational integration of blockchain technology and
artificial intelligence (AI) into the accounting and auditing domains. According to Han et al.
(2023), the implementation process of the new changes incorporates various steps, starting
with an organizational assessment of its needs and objectives.
Correspondingly, the organization includes identifying effective blockchain technology
and AI solutions while considering the various factors exemplified by the scalability, security
system, and compatibility of the new changes in the existing systems in the organization.
Onwards, the organization implements new technology, incorporating the technological
configuration essential in meeting specific accounting and auditing requirements alongside
data verification, audit task automation, and real-time reporting capabilities (Han et al.,
2023).
The last process entails the training and education of the employees on the instituted
programs, hence facilitating their comprehension of the new changes alongside the effective
utilization and adaptation for seamless operations. By leveraging blockchain's immutable
ledger and AI's analytical capabilities, organizations can streamline processes, reduce errors,
and gain deeper insights into financial data, ultimately improving decision-making and
compliance with industry standards.
Critique and Proposed Changes
Learning From the Past 3
The integration of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence (AI) into the
accounting and auditing domains demonstrates promising advancements in streamlining
processes and enhancing efficiency. However, the critique lies in the potential challenges
associated with ensuring seamless integration, such as the need for comprehensive training
programs to equip employees with necessary technical skills and the importance of
addressing security concerns to safeguard sensitive financial data. Additionally, effective
stakeholder engagement and clear communication channels are essential to ensure alignment
with organizational objectives and user needs throughout the implementation process.
Although the article expounds vividly on the implementation process of the new technology
in accounting and auditing, some areas need improvement for an effective deployment. The
proposed changes are as follows:
User Training and Education
According to Han et al. (2023), the institution of training programs is fundamental
whenever initiating new changes and technology implementation. However, there is a need to
institute continuous education programs that are fundamental to enhancing employees'
knowledge alongside adaptation to the latest technological practices and features across
blockchain and AI technologies.
Data Security Measures
Han et al. (2023) highlighted the security concerns with the new technology; however,
there is a need to incorporate the various security features as a protection of the
organization’s system against cyberattacks through incorporating data encryption tools,
regulating access controls and the regular security audits to determine any security threats.
This approach will help safeguard organizational systems (Ghobakhloo et al., 2023).
Integration with Existing Systems
Learning From the Past 4
Han et al. (2023) ought to have extensively outlined the integration process of the
system into the organization while highlighting the challenges and solutions encountered
during integration, as exemplified by the compatibility testing and data migration process
until the ultimate seamless flow in the organization. This outline would have helped illustrate
the challenges and process of data migration whenever organizations are implementing new
technologies into their operations (Ghobakhloo et al., 2023).
Stakeholder Engagement
The integration process in the article has missing gaps in the outline of the
implementation process as it fails to illustrate the key stakeholders in implementing new
technologies. Incorporating stakeholders during the implementation process facilitates an
effective outline of their roles and effectiveness in enhancing the new technology's success
(Ghobakhloo et al., 2023).
Implementation of Proposed Changes
Comprehensive Training Programs
By implementing effective training programs for the staff, particularly during the
implementation of new technology, as this equips them with the technical skills essential for
enhancing efficiency and accuracy. By prioritizing ongoing training and support, the
organization ensures that its team remains up to date with the latest advancements, fostering a
culture of continuous learning and innovation (Ghobakhloo et al., 2023).
Regular Updates and Maintenance
Incorporating and scheduling regular updates on the system is fundamental as it assists
in optimizing the system, enhancing its compatibility with evolving industry trends, and
ensuring data security and compliance with industry regulations. Considering the continuous

growth of banking civilization alongside technological evolution, staying abreast of these
advancements is crucial to maintaining competitiveness, meeting the needs of customers, and
providing a reliable and efficient platform for operations (Ali et al., 2020).
Feedback Mechanisms
Formulating feedback mechanisms within the system is fundamental in enhancing
continuous technological upgrades based on feedback generated from surveys and
suggestions or reports on issues encountered during the technological roll-out (Ali et al.,
2020). By actively soliciting and incorporating user feedback, organizations can identify
areas for improvement, prioritize development efforts, and ensure that technological solutions
align closely with user needs and preferences. Additionally, fostering a culture of open
communication and responsiveness to user input can lead to greater user satisfaction and
loyalty over time.
Data Security Measures
The technological evolution comes with an increasing number of cyberattacks;
therefore, various robust security measures and approaches should be incorporated to enhance
compliance and data protection regulations, especially in the sensitive financial industry
(Ghobakhloo et al., 2023). By implementing stringent security protocols and staying vigilant
against emerging threats, organizations can safeguard sensitive financial data and maintain
the trust of their clients. Additionally, investing in ongoing cybersecurity training and
awareness programs for employees can further bolster defenses and mitigate the risk of
potential breaches.
Stakeholder Engagement
The success of implementing any technology in the organization depends on
stakeholder engagement. Therefore, in implementing blockchain and AI, collaboration

between IT specialists, accounting professionals, and various stakeholders should be
incorporated for seamless workflows and upgrades tailored to each stakeholder’s needs
(Ghobakhloo et al., 2023). By fostering cross-functional collaboration and soliciting input
from key stakeholders throughout the implementation process, organizations can ensure that
technological solutions align with business objectives and effectively address user
requirements. Additionally, establishing clear channels of communication and feedback
mechanisms can facilitate ongoing dialogue and adaptation to evolving needs and priorities.
Conclusion
Ultimately, the article illustrates a comprehensive overview of technological
implementation in the banking and finance sector, particularly focusing on blockchain and AI
integration. While the article effectively outlines the implementation process, it underscores
the importance of incorporating comprehensive staff training programs, robust security
features, and stakeholder engagement for successful technology implementation and seamless
operations. By addressing these areas, organizations can enhance employee proficiency,
safeguard data integrity, and ensure alignment with stakeholder needs, ultimately maximizing
the benefits of technological advancements in the financial industry.
