The Influence of Linguistic Classroom Environment to Preschoolers
It is evident that young children acquire language via their interactions with other people,
and there is no question that the speech that is addressed directly to them in the first five years of
life is important in this process of development (Chaparro-Moreno et al., 2019). They acquire
knowledge via the interactions, discussions, and speech that they overhear in their environment.
When researchers do research on the methods in which young children acquire knowledge, the
environment the children are raised in and the ways in which that environment affects the
children's development and skill sets are nearly usually the primary focus of such studies. Young
children who speak languages other than English have challenges in the classroom, and they
often express that they do not feel understood. If we overlook the differences amongst the
children, we cannot give differentiation in the classroom (Tomlinson, 2017, p. 13).
Summary
A lot of research supports the idea that speak volume—the amount of words and
utterances—is important because it gives children more opportunity to comprehend language,
build vocabulary acquisition abilities before they actually acquire words, and practice processing
linguistic data (Chaparro-Moreno et al., 2019). The quality of speech, such as the variety of
words used, is also significant. However, most of the research that has been done on the
linguistic environment of childcare centers has focused on the practices of teachers or the
children's collective environment. This means that the first-person experiences of children and
their differentiated experiences within the classroom have been largely ignored. For the purpose
of this investigation, head-mounted cameras were employed in educational settings, which is a
novel approach that captures the viewpoint of the student.
Analysis

The Influence of Linguistic Classroom Environment to Preschoolers
The childcare facilities, the instructors, and the relatives of the children are the target
demographic for this study's findings and findings presentation. The findings showed that, in
contrast to what was found in earlier research, the children's perceptions of the linguistic
environment in the classroom indicate that it is marked by a greater degree of vitality. Children
engaged with their teachers for longer periods of time than they did with their peers and received
more child-directed speech:from their teachers; nevertheless, for some children, their peers also
functioned as a source of language. The author provided adequate support to back their claims
with statistics and graphs of the results they came up with during their research. The article is
effective in a manner because it used a lot of useful data, calculations, and samples while
monitoring 20 children from diverse backgrounds.
Personal Application
As someone whose first language is not English, I can appreciate the difficulties that
certain children from diverse backgrounds encounter while navigating their linguistic
environment. When I have students who speak a language other than English at home, I make an
effort to acquire at least a few common terms to communicate with them. In this manner, I am
creating a safe and secure environment for them in which they feel free to express themselves. I
diversify our language environment by assisting other students in learning a few things in order
to foster peer relationships. “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be
acceptable in your sight, O:LORD, my rock and my redeemer” (English Standard Version Bible,
2001, Psalm 19:14).
Conclusion
In conclusion, Analyzing the language milieu in which children are raised enables us to
get insight into the kinds of things they could pick up. The results of this research give the first

evidence that, from the point of view of the learner, the linguistic environment of an early
childhood classroom is very dynamic. Nevertheless, it is essential to understand them while
taking into account the constraints that are there. Different results were gathered and does not
fully classify the information gathered by the researchers. What is evident is that acquiring
knowledge varies from one child to another.
