Just as all plants do not thrive in the same environment and all animals cannot live in the
same jungle, all students do not share the same learning abilities. Some students have learning,
behavior, communication, physical, or social disabilities (Orlich et al., 2017). Special education
ensures that students with disabilities are taught effectively and fairly and is not simply just a
place, but more so a means of instruction that differs from that of what works for typical students
((Kauffman et al., 2018). Historically, special education has provided extra resources, teaching
techniques that differ from what’s used with nondisabled students, separate environments outside
of the traditional classroom, and more to address the needs of those with learning disabilities
