Sense of Social Responsibility

tolerance and unbiased thinking in students.I believe that every student matters no matter their
cultural, economical, or social background. So with that, I must remember that not

student without a disability. To represent social responsibility in the classroom, a teacher’s

Commitment/WorkEthic
Ibelieveastrongworkethicisanimportantpartofbeingsuccessfulinmycareer. Work
ethic is a set of values based on the ideals of discipline and hard work.Building a strong work
ethic will allow me to train myself so that hard work is almost automatic. Forming good

work ethic. In preparation to complete my ‘teaching tool for philosophy assignment’, I allowed
myself an estimate of 3 days to first research my teaching tool, then complete the required
information concerning my teaching tool, and finally create a presentation explaining
myresearch.Ibelievethattoincorporatestrongworkethics,oneshouldneverprocrastinate.So
with that, I committed myself to starting the assignment early in the course. To receive an
outstanding grade on this assignment I knew I had to demonstrate good work ethic and
commitment.Isetagoalformyselfatthebeginningofthesemester,andinorderformetoreach that goal I
must remember that self-discipline and work ethic are essential to be planned, prepared, and
organized for successful instruction and learning to occur.
Reflective Practice
Throughoutthiseducationalphilosophycourse,Ihavediscoveredjusthow
important it is for a teacher to have a philosophy for teaching.I found it to be critical for
teachers to know this starting at the beginning of their teaching careers.Every teacher poses
their own philosophy and these beliefs are prominent in the classroom. This is why unbiased

they have biased beliefs. When discussing inequality in the classroom, it’s tempting to

teacher bias. After all, no one wants to think they are biased, particularly not people who
devote their time, money, and energy to teaching young children. However, even the most
dedicated and well-meaning teacher holds stereotypes and beliefs that affect their students.

PersonalAndProfessionalIntegrity
Withpersonalintegrity,whenItellmyselfIamgoingtodosomething---nomatter how
big or small---I follow through and do it.Which means when I set a goal, I follow through and
achieve it.Personal integrity is the key to achieving the life I want to live.Demonstrating integrity
and competence is necessary for all teachers to impose.Integrity is following moraland ethical
principles, showing good character and honesty.I believe that as a future teacher, it
is within my control to demonstrate the highest of integrity as an example for my students.I

may be the only positive influence in the lives of some students.Acompetent teacher
understands and maintains the requirements to remain successful in their profession. As a
