BrainStorm Team Contract
Introduction
A team contract is a draft that spells out teams' goals, code of conduct, and
aspirations. Teamwork is beneficial as it groups everyone in minor factions to work
together to achieve a performance and specific goal. A team contract ensures that all
the members play their part, and the end goal is achieved with efficiency. Working in
teams is beneficial in schools and organizations because employers need to know that
one can work well in a group.
Group name:
BrainStorm
Team Members:
Carter Smith, Cassie Cock, Ciara Baldwin, and Susan Thomas
Team Goals:
There are three goals for our team.
1. Commitment - Every member of our team vows to be committed to every program
and assignment given to the group. Commitment to the group ensures that everyone
gets to succeed at the end of the course. Any team member will not tolerate a lack of
commitment. If one is not fully committed, as a team we will address it and if there is no
resolve, we will bring the matter to the professor’s attention. Every team member
demands maximum cooperation and participation in the team's projects and
assignments.
2. Communication - The use of respectable and appropriate language is highly
observed in the team. There should not be any instance where team members use
offensive and abusive language to address any subject or team member. The use of
proper and professional communication is valuable during teamwork and the general
presentation of an individual. Use of offensive and abusive communication will be
reported to the class instructor for further disciplinary action.
3. Participation – It is the expectation that each member fulfills their responsibility and
gives each assignment 100%. Participation for all ensures that everyone gets a chance
to contribute to the group's success. Measurement of participation for everyone will
according to the team's assignment or duties.
Task-related goals
The goal for each group assignment is to successfully complete the task and achieve an
A. With the commitment, communication, and participation of our team members this
goal is attainable.
Group Process Goals
Our team meetings will start with a time for each member to “check-in” to see how
everyone is doing, allowing each member to openly share with the group anything they
desire. This will afford us the opportunity to be more in line with one another as we
proceed to work together as a team. Communication is a top priority for our group,
individuals are committed to communicating with members via phone or text prior to
their individual deadline if assistance or clarification is needed.
Individual Member Goals
All group members are fully committed to being cooperative, participative, and engaged
individually and collectively while enrolled in OEL 525: Group Process and Team
Dynamics.
Carter Smith - I want to complete this course with an increased ability to work within a
group setting. I would also like to obtain more knowledge about leadership and develop
my philosophy of working within a group or team.
Cassie Cock - My main goal as a member of Brainstorm is to successfully fulfill my
responsibilities as a team member so we may achieve the A that we desire. One of the
benefits of working on a team is gaining is the different perspective other individuals
bring based on their unique skill set. The unique experience and background of my
team members will lend itself to various perspectives regarding case studies and my
goal will be to learn from them and put aside any preconceived biases I may have.
Ciara Baldwin - One of my goals for this class is to really learn how to be successful in
a team environment. Secondly, I want to gain knowledge and perspective from my
team members on how they have been successful thus far in their classes. Each team
member has such a diverse background that I am anticipating growth and benefit from
their diverse backgrounds. Lastly, to walk away from this class as a better me through
feedback and constructive criticism from my fellow classmates and team members.
Susan Thomas - My individual goal in this course is to collaborate effectively with my
team and successfully reach our objectives. I would also like to learn how to be a
contributing and valued member of my team.
Team Member Roles and Responsibilities
Problem-solving will be approached in a systematic and unified manner ranging from
personal, academic, and teamwork. The point of working in a group is to ensure that
students help one another with the different issues and problems facing them. Any
emerging issues affecting the group will be done during group meeting hours and shall
involve all team members. Decisions concerning the team will be made through the
participation of all team members during our zoom meetings. Any decision made should
target the team's primary interest. Definition of the issue at hand will be subject to a
personal view, but all decisions should be for the team's good. The participation of every
team member during meetings is key to any decision made for and by the group. Team
members unable to attend a scheduled meeting due to unforeseen circumstances

their assigned tasks. Team members are discouraged from causing pointless conflicts
and misinformation. All facts and assumptions will be considered during conflict
handling sessions. Any group member will not tolerate persistent misinformation and
misguided.

to make every assignment or duty better and more improved. The progress of the group
