Introduction
What does it mean to be a disciple? This is an important question for Christians to ask
since Scripture calls the church to go out into the world and make disciples and not just converts.
Part of the answer to the questions involves understanding the various aspects of spiritual
discipline and how they affect the Christian life. In light of these spiritual disciplines, such as
bible study, prayer, stewardship, and others, there is the question of how this works out
practically in the life of the local church. Part of what will be discussed here is the results of a
discipleship assessment taken by the members of Weaver Baptist Church and a customized plan
to help the church grow in these spiritual disciplines. There are several marks of discipleship that
