Supervision Vision
Effective supervision requires a vision that details the current and future objectives of the
vision to ensure that the company goals of supervision are achieved while meeting the needs of
the staff. Having a vision for supervision ensures that the supervisor aligns the goals of supervision
with the company mission, culture, and strategic planning (Indeed Editorial Team, 2021). My
vision for effective supervision will include one approach to supervision that is unique to my staff’s
needs and company goals and objectives. It will not be a one-size fit all technique but be integral
and in line with the strategic initiatives and priorities of the company. In particular, I will focus
more on general supervision to reduce the possibility of micromanagement thereby improving
productivity through delegation of duties and individual accountability. The supervision should
offer a dramatic, sustainable increase in desired business outcomes and should powerfully motivate
culture (Indeed Editorial Team, 2021).
Supervision will aim to impact value positively and implement core practices
collaboratively to become a powerful force for increasing value and achieving business success.
The supervision must comprise four key systems detailing the structure of the process including
communication, development, accountability, and support. Communication is vital in supervision
as it provides interaction between upper management, the supervisor, and the staff. It will
orchestrate the collaboration of supervisors (Learning Point, 2021). The development will focus
on providing structure, tools, and methods to reinforce targeted learning, development, and
coaching of staff. Accountability will ensure the supervisor owns and accounts for outcomes and
behaviors of its staff while support will facilitate the effective provision of a framework for access
to resources, tools, authority, and backup needed by the staff to their job well in the organization.
Ongoing performance monitoring will also be part of the supervision process to allow an analysis

of staff behavior and develop training programs that will ensure they learn how to do their work
effectively and produce remarkable outcomes of performance (Garza, McGee, & Wiskirchen,
2018).
