Critical Issues in Ministry Leadership; Family in Ministry Plan
Usually, the purpose of Family in ministry leadership is to enable families and
individuals to acquire healthy family skills and essential biblical guidance. Such ministry
leadership aims to empower these families and individuals to successfully overcome challenges
that could emerge in families, thus ensuring the development of faith. Family ministry
constitutes diverse activities regarding religious groups that support family relationships

. The
ministry could entail targeted programs and concerns ways through which families are
strengthened and supported by the congregation hence achieving a sense of belonging in which
they could feel secure and safe within a supportive community.
Families are considered important by the church members, hence being referred to as the
center of gospel learning. Importantly, a family influences the well-being and happiness of its
members, thus impacting society around them and continues to bear relevance and significance
throughout their lives. Biblically, the family precedes the ministry and succeeds God, and
members of the congregation have been primed to respect the latter order. In this regard, it is
crucial that you respect the value of family while focusing on bettering these values even while
you may be engaging in the works of the ministry. There are three distinct models of ministry:
Blessed, Accepted, and Rejected models; hence, the model of ministry employed by any given
church may significantly affect its overall impact.

There are several ways through which we could use to keep in touch with other families
regularly. Our Family plans to create a connection based on ministry work, creating a safe space
for devotion. We have liaised with other participants who have volunteered to help in
administering aid to different families who serve in the same congregation. These individuals
meet regularly to plan activities that should be undertaken weekly and after every month. Some
of the volunteer activities that we participate in include helping families redecorate their
apartments, clean their backyards, repair their appliances and any electric faults within their
homes, among others things. After the volunteering sessions, we could meet to have a Christian
meeting where we cook and pray together as a Christian family. However, our plans for the
ministry do not end here, as there are different other activities that our family intends to engage
in concerning how to ensure the church is comfortable for every one of our members. The
importance of family cannot be disregarded in any way

. Since family is the only significant
influence in a child’s life, we take pride in ensuring that we create a lasting relationship with
other families and ensure to connect on personal levels with the children within these
households. Many families have recognized the importance of creating relationships beyond
ministry work.

Deliberating on financial assistance that could be given to our church to develop different
projects.
Ascertaining that funds are used appropriately.
Firstly, our family in ministry goal is to ensure a safe environment where members of the
congregation could open up on issues that affect them. We intend to bring up the issue of self-
care and support by the church, thus allowing members of the church to help others in their times
of need. Some of the crucial aspects of this goal constitute electing leaders and assistants within
small groups that could be assigned different follow-up roles regarding members who have
raised concerns and even those who have shown a need to seek assistance. These individuals will
be responsible for recording the number of cases at hand at any given time. They will help us to
assess the level of urgency. In this regard, we could realize enough time to plan, thus offering
help and guidance concerning these church members. Even while some members may not be
offered financial aid, they will be guided and advised on better ways to overcome their
challenges.
Secondly, we aim at engaging children in practical activities around the Church. In this
aspect, they could develop a sense of self-confidence. They could also learn from a young age
how to become more responsible. Some of the activities that we could influence and plan include
boot camps, volunteer weekends, and quizzes and tests to influence a good relationship amongst
themselves. By engaging in these activities together, they could learn how to maintain
relationships and appreciate differences amongst them. Besides, initiating programs that support
volunteer activities will help us teach them how to devote their time to helping others, thus
instilling a sense of selflessness. Here, we could give them simple tasks that resonate with their
hobbies and interests, making the experience friendly.

Moreover, the family ministry aims at ensuring the church maintains a healthy
relationship with its immediate community. The family ministry could engage in activities that
include organizing CSR activities like delivering clothes, food, and other items to different
households. These activities could be essential in this time of grave undernourishment as caused
by the coronavirus pandemic. It could help these families maintain good diets thus overcome
some of the challenges that they have faced due to food shortage and high living costs over the
past year.
Conclusively, we aim at deliberating on financial assistance that could be given to our
church to develop different projects while ascertaining that funds are used appropriately. Several
projects could help the church to improve its connection with other churches. For instance, we
could initiate trips and luncheons that bring church members together with others of different
congregations, thus enhancing the ministry works that our church engages. Also, we could help
renovate some of the buildings and repair broken units and another facility in the church. In this
regard, the ministry work could have experienced significant motivation even as other families
join hands to promote the church’s endeavors and the church’s work.
However, an essential phase of our family in the ministry plan constitutes supporting
marriages by upholding relevant teachings that enable couples in the church to attain specific
levels of knowledge and wisdom concerning how to understand the institutions of marriages
better. There are many aspects within this plan, like the assistance that could be offered to
newlyweds and even those who have been in marriages for a longer time. In this regard, the
family in the ministry plan could advocate for these individuals’ purposes in their relationships
hence creating an environment of respect concerning their respective institutions. While this
could seem like a hectic move considering the overly intricate dynamics regarding marriages and
7
relationships, there could be sustainable programs that build trust and influence better
relationships and understanding among these individuals.
As mentioned earlier, leadership concerning the family in ministry entails uplifting
individuals and families with an aim to influence biblical guidance and instill healthy family
relationships. Empowering families while allowing them to develop spiritually and intellectually
creates a sense of purpose while giving each family a recognizable space within the ministry.

Thus, challenging these members to engage in different activities that sustain the church's
ministry work is an essential way to help them discover their relationship with Jesus hence
growing in the word. Also, the leadership aims at empowering families and individuals to
successfully overcome challenges that could emerge in families, thus ensuring the development
of faith

In conclusion, family is the focal point of ministry in the church because it enables
congregation members to learn about the gospel in an extensive way. Also, family precedes the
ministry; thus, members who acknowledge this idea end up creating better relationships with
God. In this aspect, it is important that members respect the value of family and build on
identifying appropriate ways by which the church could improve ministry work in the long run.

Finally, there are three different models of ministry. The ministry uses these models in ways that
determine the impact that it could have on its members generally.
