Sweden is a nation known for successful welfare, high percentage of non-religious
citizens and clean streets. Sweden is among the largest countries in the European Union and has
so much green space. The population in Sweden is sparse, and the country has extensive forest
coverage. The country has a mixed economic system. This economic system combines private
freedom, centralized economic planning, and government regulation. Today, the United States is
Sweden's third well known trading partner in terms of export, and American Corporations are the
well-represented foreign corporations in Sweden.
Sweden's criminal justice system is regulated by legislation, and the country has a
parliament known as riksdagen in Swedish. The government implements the decisions made by
the country’s parliament. It also submits proposals of the new laws to riksdagen. The judiciary
allows the Swedish judges to apply and interpret the country's laws. On the other hand, the Laws
are enforced by the national police service. In addition to the police service division, Sweden has
security agencies that enforce laws, conduct financial investigations, and other issues concerning
safety and order.
The Swedish judicial process follows a legal procedure. When you are accused of a
crime, you have the right to be represented by both a prosecutor and defense attorney. Police
officers or prosecutors address crimes and infractions such as trafficking with summary fines
(Carroll, 2021). However, the constitution restricts the right of an accused person to be released
on bail. From a Human Rights perspective, Sweden has no submitted cases on violation of
human rights. The book of Amos 5:24 teaches as, "but let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream" (Hendrickson Publishers, 2004).
