results. Do you believe that any additional guidelines should be
followed?
It is important for a researcher to be honest about reporting their
research. Some guidelines include providing an honest report of how the
research was conducted and where the initial research design had to be
changed. Only the major changes to the hypothesis or research design
need to be disclosed. A researcher needs to maintain a full record of the
research project to answer any questions that may come up along the
way. Minor details may need to be left out from all but the most
comprehensive reports, but the details left out should not make it hard to

be able to answer specic questions about research procedures that
come up during data analysis or presentation.
A researcher should not use statics to create a lie or create graphs that
could mislead people (Bachman & Schutt, 2021). Also, they should make
sure to recognize the sponsors of their research so other people could
decide for themselves if the sponsorship tempted the researcher to bias
results in some way. Staff and major contributors should also be thanked.
The authorship order for co-authored reports should be discussed ahead
of time and consider principles agreed on. A researcher needs to be
sensitive to coauthors' concerns and to their needs. I believe that the
above are the most important guidelines. I do think that researchers need
to be aware of how the media works and not use it in a way that puts them
in a brighter light than deserved. Also, plagiarism is an especially
important issue that needs to be avoided by researchers.
