ABSTRACT
When recruiting a crime scene unit supervisor, it is critical to ensure that the individual is
completely qualified and capable of properly completing the job's responsibilities. If one member
of the crime scene investigation team is incompetent and incapable of doing their tasks
effectively, the entire crime scene unit is jeopardized and unable to investigate too
the best of their abilities. Given the supervisor's critical role in a crime scene unit, ensuring that
the job applicant is completely qualified and competent is the first step toward assembling an
excellent crime scene investigation team. To ascertain the job applicant's qualifications, the
hiring official must ask the necessary questions and listen for the appropriate responses. By
learning from previous failures and implementing Audit recommendations, various critical
questions and policies may be addressed to guarantee that the new applicant is prepared to
manage a variety of possible situations. This is the first stage in establishing if the applicant is
certified, qualified, and competent enough to execute the duties associated with the supervisory
title for the crime scene unit.

appropriate questions. By posing difficult and thought-provoking questions, the interviewer can
ascertain whether or not the applicant is adequately qualified and capable to perform the job's
requirements. While every position on a crime scene investigation team is critical, the
supervisory position for the crime scene unit is particularly critical, and hiring for that post must
