great post on your ministry calling. We are on a similar path and I too wonder
about navigating today’s social currents while ministering in a classroom setting.
Things that this world has accepted are unacceptable for those of us that live by
the biblical precept taught in the Bible. “With the sexual revolution now having
come full bloom, and the American public having largely accepted same-sex
marriage, pressure for the church to fold on issues of sexuality, gender, and
marriage will only intensify.”[1] We must be prepared to give a defense of our faith
but it must be done in love. The good thing about Christians that are grounded in
the Holy Spirit is they can agree to disagree and do it with the right attitude. The
world teaches us if we disagree with someone or they with us then we are divided
a thus enemies. Christians can look to Paul for a model of how to navigate
troubled waters and do it in faith and love. I wish you the best in your future
endeavors and have great faith God will equip you to handle every challenge you
face in ministry with love and temperance.
