IMPACT OF CAREER SATISFACTION AND ADULT DEVELOPMENT 2
Introduction
Religion,is a range of,social-cultural systems, including designated,behaviors,and
practices,,morals,,beliefs,,worldviews,,texts,,sanctified places,,prophecies,,ethics,
or,organizations, that relate humanity to,supernatural,,transcendental, and,spiritual,elements.
The impact of religion on children, adults, or individuals in general, and everyday situations and
circumstances. The definition of religion is a belief and worship of superhuman power or
powers, especially a God or gods. It also means a particular system of faith, worship, or pursuit
or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance. As children develop, their parents
influence them, and the family around them comes to religion or religious beliefs or views. This
can be seen in children from eight months up to 24 months, even through all of their stages of
development, and the external factors from their families influence them.
Religious and moral development includes recognizing religious values, performing worship,
behaving honestly, being helpful, polite, respectful, and sporty, maintaining personal and
environmental hygiene, knowing religious holidays, and respecting (tolerance) other people's
religions (Permendikbud, 2014). Religious and moral development activities for early childhood
are a habituation of children arriving at school until they return home. There are several
substances of habituation activities: acceptance, constructing good character, religious
knowledge, and religious competence or behavior. (Beider, 2023)
Children always evaluate and receive information about experiencing different emotional
responses to proceed with evaluations. The result of how they are taking in the information and
interpreting it makes the building blocks for how they are creating and understanding who they
identify themselves as and what they identify with in terms of religion, gender, sexuality, and
also how it will influence their moral development. This also plays a role in society's influence

and the language that society speaks in shaping their self-identity. How children learn and adapt
their cells is based on what’s influenced and reinforced in their culture, makeup, and
backgrounds. Every cultural background has its own set of rules, goals, expectations, beliefs,
behaviors, and thought patterns that are all connected and sometimes tied to the beliefs of that
family.
Religion is vital to human development because it is essential to understand how religion has
either contributed to or influenced how an individual feels and think about themselves in certain
situations. The understanding of religion and how the person has been responding to specific
stimuli can also be the basis for, someone to use this as a means to help them be able to address
the root of the issue for why they are sure ways when it comes to different norms. Religion or
culture has influenced everyone in some way or form. Whether the religion was in their home as
a child, or if the religion was presented to them when they went to school, they have still been
influenced. The influence and impact of religion on how a child is raised in what they perceive to
be reality, or He Is, is also used in this context.
Developmental Impact
The impact of religion on a person usually begins in their early adolescent stage. This can be
seen in the self-system's early development, which continues through adulthood. In this, you’ll
see the early progress of their behavior regulation. Behavior regulation is influenced by cognitive
and emotional advances that merge with self-awareness or self-recognition. This means that
thought, how they perceive their capabilities, and how they emotionally respond to what they

perceive through the information being reinforced. This is also seen in how the parent helps
shape this development and childhood with how they are parenting their child. Parenting
significantly influences how a child develops, whether the parent is using different styles of
parenting methods, as each method has its benefits and downsides. The development of self-
regulation and the quality of attachment is grounded in warm, responsive caregiving. It may be
beneficial for many children. However, other parenting methods also contribute to the same
matter.
The impact of religion on the cognitive, social, emotional, relationship, and or moral
dimensions of development is shown through how children are quick to believe in a miracle, or if
they don’t believe in a miracle, sometimes a child will say they believe it magic this is since the
parents have such a deep-rooted belief in their belief system, and therefore the children follow
suit and also display the same connection. Religion also impacts the moral dimension because
when you deal with religion, it also deals with the base of morality and right and wrong decision-
making.
Furthermore, they have different examples in the Bible as a means to have that base. Also,
studies have shown that when parents or families have more substantial religious commitments
in their child’s Childhood, they leave a more significant residue, meaning that this child becomes
an adult. They are more likely to stay with that religion so this affects all areas because this will
influence their social, emotional, relationship building, and even other areas that may not be fully
addressed however, yet it still impacts it in a way that a religion or religious base is still
influencing that individual.

A person’s level of moral development can generate motivation to make the same response
for different reasons and interpret the same situation differently (Namee, 1977). Moral
development in childhood is a central aspect. From the socialization, it was found that several
groups of students with various levels of moral competence were considered as the contents of
the zone of proximal development (Molchanov, 2013). Moral education must be based on an
understanding of development, and the development of faith follows a parallel sequence and has
a relationship between the two things (Kohlberg, 1974).

Faith & Professional Perspectives
There are Christian principles that are connected to understanding the impact of religion on
an individual. The Bible instructs Christians to teach their children biblical principles so that
when they become adults, the principles and beliefs will not depart from them, Proverbs 22:6
KJV. Also, it goes further to instruct them to hide God’s word in their heart so that they might
not sin against God, Psalms 119:10-13.
