Business Integrity Response
Response to Carrie Moore
Integrity in business contributes to the betterment of society, limits adverse effects on the
environment, and exhibits a social conscience. Integrity attracts customers to a business. The
lack of integrity in a business can be evidenced by a focus on increasing shareholder value at the
expense of the stakeholders' needs. Strict adherence to strategy making which promotes profit
over ethical behavior can ultimately backfire (Gamble et al., 2021). An organization will incur a
cost when its inhumane working conditions, environmental pollution, or other unethical
behaviors are exposed. According to Keller (2014), God should be glorified through work.
Humans should not undermine the dignity of others or destroy God’s creation through work. The
Eisenhower Matrix, Yes/No Rule, the Making Of model, and SWOT analysis can be used in
decision-making (Krogerus & Tschappeler, 2017).
I concur with you that business leaders should carry out their work honestly and ethically.
The business activities should be conducted according to the way God intended (Keller, 2014).
According to Keller (2014), work should not be viewed as profit-centered. Christians should
carry out work with integrity in honor of God and his creation. It is true that integral businesses
attract customers. Regardless of the goods or services offered, integrity can increase the number
of buyers (Safta, 2018). However, businesses should not only depend on integrity to prosper.
Other factors such as the quality of goods and services should be considered (Rumelt, 2011). It is
important to offer the right quality of goods and services to customers for their satisfaction.
