Introduction
The United States Army is a military organization that conduct operations all over the
world. They have many competitors, and customers (internal, external). Being a U.S Army
soldier, I play a vital role that helps them achieve their missions. They have many goals inside of
the organization to include soldier readiness, preparation for combat, and peacekeeping
operations. The army does not only conduct operations abroad, they conduct domestic
operations as well. The purpose of this essay is to explain the overall mission of the U.S. Army,
their competitors and customers, the role that I play that adds value to help army reach their
goals and complete their missions, and the role that faith currently plays in this organization.
U.S. Army Mission
I am a soldier enlisted in the U.S Army. I have been in the military for 22 years. The
army provide many services domestically, and internationally to people all over the world.
According to the U.S. Army (2017) website,
The mission of the U.S. is to fight and win our Nation’s wars by providing prompt,
sustained land dominance across the full range of military operations and spectrum of
conflict in support of combatant commanders. We do this by: Executing Title 10 and Title
32 United States Code directives, to include organizing, equipping, and training forces for
the conduct of prompt and sustained combat operations on land. Accomplishing missions
