Human Resource management is very crucial for an organization’s success. HR is
responsible for measuring the success or failure of the organization based on its objectives and
whether they were able to achieve its goals as well. Organizations usually seek to gain financial
sustainability/profitability, in addition to employee job satisfaction, and brand identity. An
adequate rewards program can help the organization in reaching these sought-after outcomes.
“An organization must choose to what degree its total rewards strategy depends on monetary
rewards(compensation) and what mix of compensation components will be used” (Noe, et.al,
2021). In this case study, Aflac was selected and will be expounded upon by providing a
thorough analysis of how its total rewards program supports its missions and values and achieve
strategic outcomes.

its employees.
Aflac uses its products or services to enhance the total compensation for its employees by
aligning their benefits with the organization's values through offering compensation to their
employees. Aflac provides Aflac products to their employees at little to no cost. “for example,
offering employer-paid life insurance, a company-paid cancer policy and company subsidized
accident protection insurance” (Reed, 2009). Aflac also provides total rewards that are aligned
with its philanthropic goals. They do this by dedicating their resources towards supporting their
surrounding communities in areas such as education, arts, youth, health, and arts. Aflac also
