Role of Human Resource management in promoting industrial harmony
Problem statement
In the modern dynamic business environment, industrial relations are key in establishing
an organizational environment that fosters productivity, employee cooperation and general
wellbeing. Industrial relations comprise the complex interactions between organizations,
employees, and employee representatives seeking to establish a balanced relations within the
workplace. Research on human resource management indicates that there exists multiple types of
interventions that promote industrial harmony in the organization. Human resource has been
identified as a major business concern because of its ability to incorporate employees’ welfare
and the organizational goals. Different people with different qualifications come together in an
organization to work to achieve the set organizational objectives and how well the objectives are
achieved is based on the management of the human resource. Human resource is concerned with
money and people and improvement in these will ultimately improve organizations performance.
The human element is the most difficult to manage in the organization as it has to be educated,
trained, motivated and retrained with the changing organizational dynamics to ensure maximum
output.

Study method
Selecting the best research method usually depends on different conditions regarding the
research question, type of data, time, cost and the availability of study respondents. Quantitative
study method is the most appropriate for the current research as it’s utilized in observing events
that affect a certain group of people, who form the sample population which involves employees
in the current study (Sreekumar & George, 2023). A quantitative study will be utilized in
quantifying the relation between different human resource practices such as employee relations,
communication and employee involvement, and measures of industrial harmony such as
employee satisfaction, and rates of industrial disputes. The study will utilize study
questionnaires and satisfaction surveys among employees in various organizations to collect data
on human resource management and industrial harmony. The study sample will include
employee and managers across different organizations to gain insight and ensure generality of
the data. The data will then be analyzed using statistical techniques such as Chi-square test.
