When conducting a Google search, why do some search results appear before others?
Describe in detail the processes that Google uses to prioritize the positioning of search
results?
The explanation as to why certain outcomes occur prior to others is because they are endorsed
results that businesses can pay to have placed in. Google provides a backed sign alongside these
results, and they seem to be superior on paper than any of the others. Following the questions,
many persons think that there are a few techniques that businesses can use to rise up or even get
to the top of search results. In actuality, Google chooses the websites on how applicable and
helpful the websites are to the individuals looking for specific answers. “It is fundamental to
realize that the connections are not ordered by which page has the best on-page SEO or the most
links, however, are instead requested by client expectation.” (Montti, 2018)
Describe Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords) and AdSense services and how each may
benefit a company’s online advertising effort with Google.
Google ads, previously known as Google AdWords, is assistance provided by Google to allow
publicists to display their advertisements that are associated to the search made. This kind of
marketing can be a key benefit for businesses because it might be less expensive opposed other
approaches. An additional benefit is that the company can focus on a specific group of
individuals. “This can be accomplished by focusing on a specific geographic area or a particular
age group for which a corporation wishes to market.” (Kerin & Hartley, 2022)
Explain why there is increasing concern about potential eavesdropping practices by Google
and other companies via Internet-enabled “smart home” devices (e.g.: televisions,
assistants, and Wi-Fi networks)? What preventative measures may be taken by consumers
to mitigate “always listening,” hacking, eavesdropping and other surreptitious information
gathering conducted by unwanted intruders?
The biggest reason that there is an escalating worry when it comes to prying or eavesdropping
with substantial companies like Google, is that everyone has incidents of being overheard.
Individuals are worried and baffled by the notion that they are being heard by their electronics
and that there is an actual person watching them by utilizing it. The explanation for this is since
individuals might be having a discussion regarding a product and then soon after they begin to
find advertisements for that same product. For instance, someone might be conversing with their
mom about wedding invitations, then within the next hour, they go on Facebook or Instagram
and see advertisements for wedding invitations. One approach that people can take in order to
keep this from happening is learning how to disable listening mode in the settings of the device.
Another thing people can do is watch their network by applying a recognition system that
informs them if another person has logged onto their network.
“Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.” (Psalm 147:5
NIV) Discuss the vastness of God’s wisdom, knowledge, and power, in consideration of the
power of human marvels such as Google.
God is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. He listens to all things from prayers to praises.
It doesn’t matter how quiet people are, God hears them. Google has discovered a way to mimic
that. God doesn’t need to ask us to tell Him things because He already knows, but He wants us to
open our hearts to Him. Google should not have the same power as God in that sense. Luckily
for us, we know that God is greater than all things, and that’s one thing Google can’t beat.
