Introduction
Information technology is advancing rapidly and promoting various business entities’
competitiveness in the current highly competitive economy space. Emerging technologies have
offered organizations and firms opportunities to become more competitive, especially with
Information Technology use in their daily practices. The above amplifications are supported by
Saeidi et al. (2019), who underscored the need for business managers to ensure IT integration in
their organizational practices for timely fulfillment of objectives and enhanced organizational
productivity. However, there have been debates concerning how technology has presented
individuals and organizations with ethical dilemmas attributed to the lagging legislation and
unsettled social norms guiding the use of emerging technologies nowadays. Francisco and
Swanson (2018) presented a study on enhancing transparency in the organization and further
provided a technique on how to avert mistrust through blockchain technology. As such, the
literature presented below provides a summary of this article (Francisco and Swanson’s, 2018),
its analysis, and two biblical readings relevant to the unethical conduct presented by the authors.
