Abstract
The current managerial decisions for organizations' leadership are expected to address the
dynamic needs of employees. Supporting employee goals is a managerial practice that assists the
employee to develop their skills, advance academically and socially, and motivate them in their
working environment. The case study of Amy Werner at the New York City-based search
firm0On-Ramps0exposes a right work environment that supports Amy. Sarah Grayson, as one of
the top managers, is supportive and seeks to facilitate academic development of Amy. Some
theories such as; theory of motivation, goal-setting theory, and Vroom's expectancy theory will
be used in the case analysis. This paper will respond to the roles and organizational issues in the
organization, through explicating the scenario with managerial theories and practices, and finally
provide overview and alternatives that could best work for the company.

Organizational management deserves an effective team comprising of employers and
employee, who establishes a workable work environment for the success of the organization. The
