Abstract
In today’s fast-paced world of competitive workplaces and turbulent economic conditions, many
leaders are searching for effective tools that can help manage, adapt, and strike out ahead of the
pack. Although by now, emotional intelligence needs no introduction, it is no secret that
emotional intelligence is key to success. What characteristics can leaders possess to make them
more successful and relevant within the workplace? Therefore, knowing what emotional
intelligence is and knowing how to use it to improve leadership traits are two quite different
things.

Introduction
In today’s economic world, each organization is trying its best to achieve and maintain a strong
competitive edge. Albeit in the past research has shown that society embraced the
competitiveness of that market structure. However, organizations need to implement a concept
that works to enhance performance and productivity.
Therefore, shareholders within any given organization should have a working knowledge of
these concepts. If well implemented, any such organization is sure to attract and maintain
employees and clients, hence a higher likelihood of achieving its target and objectives.
Henceforth, although collaboration, teamwork, motivation, organizational goals, and
