Summation Assignment:
Introduction
In this paper, I will look at three groups; leadership, management, and followership, and
how these three groups’ collaboration efforts are affected in my place of employment. Next, I
will reflect on how integrity and communication have affected the current leadership in my place
of employment. Finally, utilizing concepts learned through my college course, I will propose
how distinct changes in my employers’ management and leadership styles could improve our
current employment situation. Throughout the paper, I will integrate biblical notions and
teachings to support the concepts discussed.
Concept Affecting My Company
Leadership, Management, & Followership
The first concept is leaders, managers, and followers all play integral roles in the success
of an organization. Collaboration in, between, and amongst these groups is also critical to the
success of an organization. Each group’s contributions can affect the organization’s short, mid,
and long-term goals and visions and must be carefully managed. Although leadership and
management are often spoken about synonymously, they are two separate and distinct roles.
