II. Interpretation
Step Six: Determine what Biblical wisdom can be gained from this character. Carefully look
through your general observations based on your first impressions, your deeper study, and
your timeline. What biblical wisdom can you gather about your character? Write out five
elements of Biblical wisdom that can be understood from your character. Provide a concise
explanation of each of these elements.
A. Faithful: Moses never got tired of talking about God and making sure people were
following God’s law. Even though he was surrouned by negativity he never stop believing in
God.
B. Loyal: Moses did everything that God commaned him to do and obeys the voice of God
when it came from the burning bush. Moses stayed loyal even thourgh the hard times
especially when he was in the wilderness for 40 years. Moses never once strayed from God,
he spreaded his word throughout his journey.
C. Resistant: When God first called upon Moses he wa 80 years old and said he was “slow of
speech and tounge” Exodus 4:10 states that “ But Moses pleaded with the LORD. “O Lord,
I’m not very good with words, I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have
spoken to me. I get tongue-tied and my words get tangled.”
D. Leader: Moses led the Isralites out of Egypt and he also went up a mountain and came
back with the Ten Comandments that God gave him.
E. Insufficient: He begged the Lord to send someone else because he couldn’t speak.
Exoudus 4:13 states that “O Lord, please send someone else to do it”

III. Correlation
Step Seven: Ask, “How does this character’s life reflect other truths found in the Scriptures?”
List and explain 3 truths from this person’s life that fit within all of the Bible. Your explanation
must note how these truths fit the framework of God’s Word.
A. Learning From Your Mistakes
It doesn’t matter what your background is God can always show you a
way to learn from your mistakes. Moses for example he was the son of a slave as
Exdous 2-3 Now a man of the tribe of Levi married a Levite woman, 2 and she
became pregnant and gave birth to a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she
hid him for three months. 3 But when she could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus
basket[a] for him and coated it with tar and pitch. Then she placed the child in it and
put it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile. 4 His sister stood at a distance to
see what would happen to him.5 Then Pharaoh’s daughter went down to the Nile to
bathe, and her attendants were walking along the riverbank. She saw the basket
among the reeds and sent her female slave to get it. 6 She opened it and saw the baby.
He was crying, and she felt sorry for him. “This is one of the Hebrew babies,” she
said. God gave Moses another chance after he ran away and was in the wilderness and
then came to the burning bush and hear the sound God.
B. God Takes Over
You should let God take over stop talking and listen. In Exodus 3:14 God said to
him, “Say to the Isaraelits: “I am has sent me.” Moses finally gave up and
listened to God. God tugs at our heart we just have to listen and let him lead us.
C. It’s Not Going To Be Easy
God is ready to meet you at your lowest points and help you get back on your
feet. It’s not going to be easy but you have to push through it and come out stronger
than ever. Exodus 4:1-5 “God is read to ask, “What is that in your hand?”

Step Eight: Ask, “How does this character’s life point me to Jesus?” List and explain 3 ways the
life of your character can point to the person and work of Jesus Christ.
A. Moses went up Mount Sinai and brought back the Ten Commandments. The Ten
Commandments are a set of rules that God gave to the people of Israel. Example
would be like Tho shalt have no other God before me.
B. When Jesus speaks answer and don’t hesitate. When Moses was told by Jesus to go
lead the Issralites he hesitate and he argured with Jesus.
C. Don’t give up and Don’t Blame God! God is with you every step of the way. He gave
Moses a staff. The staff helped him part the Red Sea and drown the Egyptian Army.
IV. Application
Step Nine: What points of application can be made using the Four Common Questions? List and
explain 1 point of application for each of the Four Common Questions.
A. The question of duty
When Jesues speaks don’t hesitate like Moses did.
B. The question of character
Moses helped God lead the Israleties out of Egypt. Be a leader like God wants
you to be.
C. The question of cause
A mission to get the Israleties out of Egypt motivaties Moses.
