CHRISTIANS ARE WAGING WAR WITH SOCIETY
Christians are waging war with society for the peace and glory of God. This discusses
how God created the natural world and how man has grown to destroy it. With the way the world
is today it is hard to find yourself and keep your faith. But if you find God and let Him into your
heart then you will find yourself, your faith and live in the light of the Lord. With God, all things
are possible. (Mathew 19:26)
The natural worlds is God’s creation; the land, the oceans, the trees and human life. We
see God in all these things but so many cease to believe in Him. People turn away from God
because they say He cannot be seen or cannot show Himself. In all actuality, He has shown
Himself and can be seen every day in everything we see and everything we do. One just has to
open their eyes and let the light in. As it states in Romans 1:20 “For since the creation of the
world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen,
being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” So man has no
excuse for his behavior when they appear before God on judgment day because it was all there
and they knew the difference between good and evil and they still chose to turn away from God.
Our human identity is found through Jesus and through ourselves. In Romans 3:10 it says
“There is no one righteous, not even one”. We as humans are far from perfect and we will never
be perfect. But with God and through Jesus we are sanctified, justified and glorified (Romans
8:30) When He is with us who could be against us? When you commit yourself to Jesus and let
Him into your heart, you are then washed of your sins and are reborn into a new life; a fresh
start. You are never alone in your walk with God because He is always with you and will never
leave you. Psalm 23 says much about our faith, love and comfort. “Even though I walk through
the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort
me.” (Psalm 23:4) “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that
suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does
not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy
Spirit, who has been given to us.” (Romans 5:3-5)
Human relationships can be a challenge. Not just intimate relationships or friendships,
but human relations as a whole. How we treat each other and how we should respect each other.
We are all created in God’s image and we are all His children and we must respect that, believers
or non-believers. We are all sinners and are all equal but must be saved by the blood of Jesus and
the grace of God. No one is better than anyone else and no race is better than any other race.
When Jesus died He took our sins with Him so that we may start a new life in the eyes of our
creator and Lord. God uses the faith of the person to bring them to repentance. Paul said in
Romans 1:24 that “God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts” therefore man was
not using the sexual nature for its intended purpose. Instead they lust over each other, women
over women, men over men. Even though they got what they desired, they were not going to
persevere. We do not have to live or die like this. When we let the Lord into our hearts and
follow the path He has made for us we will find ourselves and learn to love one another again.
CHRISTIANS ARE WAGING WAR WITH SOCIETY
Culture today is similar to biblical times. Even though we are more modern, being
modern has nothing to do with faith. There were wars and sin then just like there are now. People
turned away from God just as they do in today’s society. Here in our time we see it broadcast
across nations. The Godless rule our country and yet they take oaths “under God” to uphold
laws. The Godless making promises in God’s name is pointless and wrong. Where are the morals
and values? Those are found with God. If our leaders are Godless then our country loses its
morals and values. Our culture focuses on “stuff”. “I need more stuff”, “My stuff has to be better
than their stuff so people will think I’m more powerful!” When truly all you need to be powerful
is God, Faith, Family and Love; and only you can show how much you have of each and the
amount of each you wish to share.
In conclusion, I believe the letters Paul wrote were not just to the Romans but to our
society too. Looking at where our world is at and where it is headed is almost like it was when
Paul first wrote the letters. With all the hate and despair everywhere you look, read, hear, speak;
it is hard to know what to do. “Circumcision of the heart by the spirit” (Romans 2:29) is what we
need in today’s society if we ever want to bring peace back to this world.
