This paper analyzes the impact of economic
globalization on China's economic development
Since the end of the Second World War in the last century, due to the
emergence of new science and technology and the general improvement of
the level of social productive forces, social production, both in its process and
its scope of activities, has gradually gone beyond the original restrictions of
nationality and national borders, and has begun to be integrated on a global
scale, especially since the seventies, with the rapid development of
information technology, economic development has become more closely
linked and exchanged within the global sub-scope, and the development
trend of world economic globalization has been formed. And in order to
accelerate their own economic development and industrialization process,
many countries in the world have changed their economic policies, opened
their doors, and actively faced this development trend, of course, China is no
exception.
For our country, economic globalization is not only a rare opportunity, but
also a huge challengeIf we handle it properly, then we will change the
situation of economic backwardness and thus enter a new period, but if we
do not handle it properly, then it will only make our country a point of
borrowing for the economic level of the developed countries to move to a
higher level; therefore, in the face of economic globalization, it is extremely
important to have a sober mind and a reasonable policy. First of all, as far as
the actual situation of economic development is concerned, China has always
been a self-sufficient traditional economy, and the level of economic
development has always been in a relatively backward position in the world,
and at the same time, the level of social productivity is low, and the funds are
insufficient. Secondly, China's population base is large, but the national
cultural quality is generally low, resulting in a serious shortage of top
technical talents in China; Third, our original scientific and technological level
is backward, which not only cannot provide a strong boost to economic
development, but also may drag it back. Fourth, the long-term economic
backwardness has led to a lack of a rational management system and a lack
of experience in contemporary economic development. Fifth, China is in the
1
process of exploration and development in the initial stage of socialism, and
the socialist market economic system is not yet perfect, and if it cannot
achieve rapid economic development, then it may lead to political turmoil,
thus allowing people with ulterior motives to take advantage of the situation
and seriously damage the interests of the state and the people. Sixth, for the
sake of their own development, the capitalist countries have always taken a
suppressive attitude towards China's economic development, and if we fail to
take advantage of the gap in economic globalization when various countries
adjust their economic policies and strive to develop themselves so that China
can integrate into the world economy, then our development path will
become more and more difficult in the future. In the face of the above
problems, only by fully grasping economic globalization can we solve them,
but this is also the coexistence of advantages and disadvantages.
1. The positive effect of economic globalization on China's economic
development
First, economic globalization can enable foreign capital and advanced
production technology to enter China, which not only relieves China's
financial pressure, but also improves China's social productivity to a certain
extent, thereby speeding up China's industrialization process. Second, while
bringing foreign enterprise investment, it also brings advanced management
theories, so that we can study the management model suitable for our own
development while observing and learning from our own situation; Third, our
country is a large country with a large population, under the trend of
economic globalization, we can introduce labor-intensive industries, which
can not only alleviate the employment pressure in our country, but also
promote economic development, and a large number of people have also
created a good consumer market, which can attract more enterprises to
enter our country; Fourth, from the profound lessons of history, we can
conclude that if we want to achieve better progress and development, we
must open our doors and go out, and we must carry out reform and opening
up, and economic globalization can speed up China's opening up to the
outside world and enable us to integrate into the world more quickly. Fifth,
economic globalization can expand China's trade market, so that our
products can be sold all over the world, which has played a stimulating role in
2
the development of China's enterprises; Sixth, we can improve the efficiency
of resource allocation, when we export products to other countries, we can
also import what we need, which improves the efficiency of resource
utilization to a certain extent, because in the development of modernization,
often the development of an industry will involve many other industries, we
cannot develop all the industries related to it in order to develop an industry,
which will only outweigh the losses; Seventh, it can speed up the reform
process of China's enterprises and economic system, because there is a
monopoly phenomenon in the development of some industries in China, and
the state cannot directly intervene in this phenomenon, so if it only relies on
its own transformation, it will be a long process, and in economic
globalization, with the entry of enterprises from other countries, the
competition will become fierce, thus forcing the monopoly enterprises to
change their policies, which provides a good opportunity for the development
of small enterprises, and also accelerates the reform of China's economic
system to a certain extent; Eighth, we can gradually establish a good
relationship of cooperation and mutual trust in China's economic
development, because China's traditional economic development is based on
self-oriented, and there is little communication with other countries, and the
economy is an important factor that can affect the fundamentals of the
country, so in cooperation with other countries, it is always full of suspicion,
which can not make the economy get the maximum development, and
economic globalization makes the world economy reflect a kind of "you have
me, I have you" scene, so that the economy on a global scale shows a " This
greatly weakens those who want to speed up their own economy at the
expense of the interests of other countries, thereby strengthening
international mutual trust; Ninth, we can speed up the improvement of
China's socialist market economic system, because China is a socialist
country, everything is still being explored, and we lack a lot of relevant
experience in the market economy, and through economic globalization, we
can directly contact and understand the economic systems of other
countries, and sum up the advantages and disadvantages of various systems
through personal practice, so as to gradually improve China's economic
system in the correct way in combination with ourselves.
Second, the adverse impact of economic globalization on China's
3
economic development
First, because the developed countries have come out of industrialization,
while China is in the process of industrialization, which leads to the fact that
we must destroy the environment to a certain extent, and some developed
countries also transfer the resource-intensive industries that can cause
damage to the environment to our country, which leads us to bear the cost of
environmental damage, but also face the condemnation of international
public opinion; Second, it will have a certain impact on the development of
China's traditional industries, and the entry of foreign enterprises will
increase the competitive pressure faced by domestic enterprises, and may
even cause the shrinkage of the trade market of domestic enterprises,
thereby causing the economic decline of enterprises; Third, because most of
China's industries are characterized by high costs and low technical level,
this will lead to us being at a disadvantage in international competition, and
in the long run, it will lead to China's dependence on imports on the basis of
shrinking domestic industries; Fourth, economic globalization brings not only
economic content, but also ideological, political, and belief content, which will
change the ideological concepts, values, and beliefs of the Chinese people,
thus enabling people with ulterior motives to take advantage of the situation,
affect the country's political situation, and cause harm to the country's
interests. Fifth, although economic globalization can enable the overall
economy to develop rapidly, for individuals, a large amount of capital is
concentrated in the hands of a small number of people, and this has caused
the gap between the rich and the poor in China to become wider and wider,
which is not conducive to China's overall construction.
To sum up, the impact of economic globalization on our country is good
and bad, but in general, there are still many advantages, so we need to
formulate relevant countermeasures, actively face them, and try our best to
eliminate the impact of unfavorable factors to the greatest extent, and we
need to face ourselves squarely in the increasingly fierce international
competition in the future, actively draw lessons and lessons, and always
maintain an attitude of friendly development, so as to promote the peaceful
and friendly development of the whole world.
