For this case, quantitative research on one charge will be
needed to conduct the study to determine what impacts that specific charge has
on ridership. Quantitative research deals with analyzing and quantifying
variables to obtain results (WATER, 2020). The
charge I have chosen is workplace discrimination. Using this charge will devise
research questions and hypotheses as follows.
Does workplace discrimination change rider behaviors?
Does workplace discrimination at Uber an issue to riders?
Does workplace discrimination at Uber impact riders?
Research questions
Does workplace discrimination at Uber make riders use other
companies?
Hypotheses
Workplace discrimination upsets riders.
Workplace discrimination matters a lot to riders.
Workplace discrimination impact riders when considering
their Uber choices.
Workplace discrimination makes riders opt for other companies.
In the research, the
available variables include:
Dependent variables
Brand loyalty and other alternatives for riders.
Independent variables
Kinds of discrimination (gender, racial), public exposure to
discrimination and amount of discrimination.
Instruments for use in
the research.
Demographic instruments include; age, location, and gender.
2) Loyalty programs are in the headlines
frequently. Hotels, like Hilton and Marriott, or coffee powerhouses, like
Starbucks, are constantly revamping their programs to keep their customers as
connected as possible. These programs have proven to be a safeguard against
disruption. Assume your firm wants to launch such a program but you don't know
much about them. How would you use external published sources to conduct an
exploration of the topic. Be specific about how you might use each type.
In this case, we will have to use exploratory research. Exploratory research describes
the process of studying a problem that has not been studied to enable better understanding.
In particular, literature research will be appropriate (Thompson et al., 2020). Literature research
refers
to the process of evaluating old resources such as textbooks, magazines, or
articles (Thompson et al., 2020). The external published
resource for this case will include magazines and articles.
To complete the research, I will have to
identify the problem at hand, create a hypothesis and conduct further research to
obtain the results.
In the above, the problem at hand is to
determine whether loyalty programs enable strong customer connection. The
hypothesis for studying both magazines and articles include:
Loyalty programs affect customer connection.
Loyalty programs offer protection against
disruptions.
Loyalty programs enable customer satisfaction.
To test the applicability of these
hypothesis, I will conduct more research on the internet.
