Your Oral History Interview Speech requires that you select a person to interview that you respect and honor.  Select someone your consider to be wise. Find a nice environment for the interview. Be prepared before the interview, by have a recorder, notepad writing instruments and a few follow-up questions.  Make sure that the speech is between 3-5 minutes in length.  The body section of your outline for this assignment is different and I discuss that in detail during the audio lesson.  Other than that you are following the same formatting procedures as usual.  Make sure you get the permission of your interviewee to reveal their name, etc. during your speech presentation ( also discussed in the lecture). Then follow the regular steps below:

1. Select a Speech Topic

2. Brainstorm and Research the Topic

3. Find appropriate Sources and References

4. Develop a Thesis Statement

5. Develop a Formal Outline

6. Employ proper MLA formatting rules

7. Create a PowerPoint Presentation  (18-30 slides)

8. Refine the Outline and PowerPoint

9. Practice your Speech ( it must be between 3 and 5 minutes in length)
