Your Company’s IT Planning and Analysis Processes

IT Strategy and Planning Process

The business will utilize a technology strategy to outline multiple factors with potential impacts on its IT-related objectives and goals. The IT strategy will aim at information related to staffing, organizational changes, partnerships, and governance requirements. The planning will entail four significant elements: a mission statement, a list of prioritized actions, road maps, and SWOT analysis.

Management Decision Support

The business will use management decision support to arrive at effective decisions for specific organizational issues. It will enhance the decision-making process in all units, including management, operational and human resource. Also, it will use intelligent technology, especially in the production unit, to ease operations and increase quality and quantity simultaneously. As such, the business will have a high production rate at a higher quality.

IT Security Policy

The business will use IT security policy for data protection purposes. A business continuity plan and disaster recovery plan, especially for data, will be considered in case of damages occurrence that may incur the business. In addition, these security policies will protect the company’s information by analyzing information that is at risk in order to identify what level of risk is acceptable to the organization (Laudon and Laudon, 2012). These aspects will enable the business to easily and quickly recover from the damages to continue with its operations and activities. The organization will also follow acceptable policies such as corporate governance to ensure all activities and operations are under ethical values.
