Your assignment is to put together a word document of TEN items (10) from the media that are directly or indirectly related to sport/recreation/leisure and society.

You must include:

· The news item itself (magazine article, newspaper clipping, video, or www link).

· A brief summary of the item (half a page, double spaced)

· Describe what you believe is the message being sent thorough the media sample about the cultural meaning and value of leisure/sport

· What does it say about who we are as a society , what we value as a culture

· Include an analysis of why you believe we do these things.

· Please do not review a game.

· Good examples might be something that is seen on/in ESPN news, ESPN OTL, local news paper, magazines, youtube, etc…
