Choose two of the following three questions. Write two essays to answer them. Use evidence to support your argument. You should have an introduction with a thesis, body paragraphs and a conclusion.

1. What are your feelings about the ending of the book? Was the ending happy or sad, optimistic or pessimistic? Was it satisfying? Explain.

2. Rahim Khan told Amir, “There is a way to be good again.” What did he mean by that? Was Rahim Khan thinking only of Amir? Was Amir able to “be good again?” Was he able to make other things “good again?”

3. What is the main point of the book in your opinion?
