For this assignment, you will take what you have learned so far about information systems along with the background information in the following articles - IoT in AgricultureLinks to an external site. and List of Agriculture SensorsLinks to an external site. and write a short paper about how agriculture-specific "Internet of Things" has impacted modern farming/agriculture. Your paper should not simply be a restating of the information from the articles. Rather, the focus of your paper should be in your own words and supported by the web links provided, as well as any other sources you find, to discuss the implications and impact of using an IoT approach in this industry sector. There are also legal and moral questions to consider. Should the federal government provide financial incentives such as grants or tax credits for mega-farms? What about for small farming operations? In what ways is the environment impacted by an IoT approach? Does the U.S. have a moral obligation to assist other countries who would like to implement IoT farming but lack the infrastructure or other means to do so?
