First Writing Assignment

Class, just a few reminders about this first essay which should help you when writing it and help me when grading it! Please make sure that you look over the rubrics so that you can include all the writing elements.

It helps me immensely if you break up your essay into sections, specifically covering a specific area of the paper. I am then able to clearly see the point that you are trying to make. For example, an excellent paper would have about 9 sections.  

·       Introduction/Thesis statement

·       Application of statistics in health care as it relates to quality.

·       Application of statistics in health care as it relates to safety.

·       Application of statistics in health care as it relates to health promotion.

·       Application of statistics in health care as it relates to leadership.

·       Application of statistical knowledge to your organization as it relates to how you obtain your statistical data.

·       Application of statistical knowledge to your organization as it relates to how this knowledge is used in day to day operations.

·       Application of statistical knowledge to your organization as it relates to decision making.

·       Conclusion.

A few more reminders – make sure you submit it to Lopes writing and please keep the similarity score under 10%.  Any similarity should only be due to reference citations and templates. All points need to be written in your own words. Plagiarism is not acceptable in any form.
