Writing Assignment III and IV

Due April 29th, 509 Kern (My Office)

The final writing assignment consists of two parts,

1. An additional 2 - 3 page type - written, double - spaced standard font section that summarizes

your country’s post-1980 exchange rate regime and restrictions on international capital flows

(if any).

In addition, discuss any financial or other economic crises your country has experienced since

1980, and whether these policies have contributed to these episodes of macro instability.

2. Final writing assignment

Integrated paper (approximately 7-12 pages)

Create a document that synthesizes your findings from writing assignment I-III. In doing so,

discuss the relationship between your country’s experiences and its trade policy, migration

policy, and exchange rate/capital account policies. Be sure to draw on models treated in class.

Also, indicate whether you would have managed globalization differently, and if so, how.

Writing style: Include an introduction that states the purpose and scope of the paper. Use section

headings to highlight the organization of your document.
