Writing Assignment II

Due April 9th in class

Submit a 2 - 3 page type - written, double - spaced standard font document that connects the changes

that have occurred in your country due to globalization, to the models that we have discussed in

class. The discussion can be about a specific model we have discussed or you can draw on theory

from several of them. Be sure to describe what effect you are seeing in the data and how that could

be caused by opening up to trade.

Food for thought,

• Suppose I observe that the oil sector has grown in Iran in the last 50 years and this increase has been accompanied by an increase in oil exports. How could I use the specifc factors model

to connect this with the impact on income inequality?
